The mistake everyone makes: using top coat as the bond. Top coat is a sealant — it's not designed to hold weight under flex. Glue is brittle. Flash-cure on its own won't survive a hot shower.

The fix is the 4-step builder method:
1. Dot of clear builder gel where the stone sits
2. Place with tweezers or wax tool — don't drown it
3. Flash cure 5 seconds to lock
4. Seal edges with top coat using a liner brush+ full cure

Apex placement is the difference between a salon set and a disaster 🤍

The apex is the highest point of the nail — the structural strength of every gel extension. Place it wrong and the nail snaps. Place it right and the set lasts a full cycle.

What right looks like (from a side-on view):
→ Apex sits in the upper third of the nail bed, not in the middle
→ A clean dome shape, not a flat plateau
→ Side walls drop straight down, no dipping in
→ The free edge tapers thinner than the apex

Look at your last set in profile. If the apex is in the middle of the nail, that's why she came back at week 2.
