We do hair! Stanley & co was opened of course to support our young family, but also in honour of Joe’s late grandfather Stanley.
He was a hairdresser and inspired Joe as a young boy to become what he is today. He loved to watch his grandfather cut and style hair and he learnt that good old fashioned hard work was a great way to make a living and an even better way to support his family. We pride ourselves on delivering not just amazing colours and brilliant cuts we also provide service and advice that is second to none. We understand that getting a haircut is more than just sitting in a chair and having a trim. We believe it’s about you making your statement to the world. It’s the time we spend to work out what you want to do with your look, not only today but for months to come

2019. The final stretch of a world still convinced of its own continuity.
Looking back at these frames, it’s not really about what’s in them, it’s about what they sit inside of. A kind of collective motion that hadn’t yet been interrupted. People moving through their days with a quiet certainty that tomorrow would resemble today, and the day after would repeat it again. Not because it was profound, but because it was assumed.
And then the assumption broke.
What followed wasn’t just change in circumstance, it was a fracture in perception. The simple agreement that time flows predictably, that spaces remain open, that proximity is ordinary. After that, even memory starts to feel different. Not softer. Just more aware of its own fragility.
These images belong to the last period where the world hadn’t yet been asked to reconsider itself. A time before distance became instruction, before presence became conditional, before the ordinary became something we would later recognise as rare.
They are not important because they are beautiful. They are important because they are evidence that things once felt inevitable.
