Did you know we provide hydrotherapy? 💦
River Allied Health provides hydrotherapy at the Alan Coulter Recreation Centre in Renmark on Monday and Friday afternoons, supporting people of all ages with rehabilitation, mobility, pain management, strength and function in a supportive, low-impact environment.
Our hydrotherapy sessions include:
✅ 1:1 sessions with an allied health practitioner or Allied Health Assistant
✅ Individualised exercise programs within small group sessions, with Exercise Physiologist support and guidance
✅ Access to a heated pool, with entry via steps, chair hoist or sling lifter where required
✅ Guided rehabilitation and exercise tailored to each person’s goals and needs
Hydrotherapy may be useful following injury or surgery, for people managing chronic or persistent conditions, or for those who find land-based exercise difficult due to pain, weakness or reduced mobility.
It can also form part of a broader allied health treatment program, including progression between water-based and land-based rehabilitation where appropriate.
Bookings are essential.

🏠 Complex Home Modification Assessments
When a person’s home no longer meets their mobility, access or support needs, the right modifications can make a significant difference to safety, independence and everyday function.
At River Allied Health, Complex Home Modification Assessments are completed by our experienced Occupational Therapist, who assesses the person within their home environment and considers how the home can better support their current and future needs.
Recommendations may include changes to bathrooms, entrances, access-ways, internal layouts and other areas of the home, and can also help support funding applications and care planning where required.
These assessments may be appropriate when a person is having difficulty accessing, moving around or completing everyday activities safely within their home.
👉To book a consultation with one of our OTs and discuss whether a Complex Home Modification Assessment may be appropriate for you or your client, contact River Allied Health on (08) 8586 5126.

What is a Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA)?
A Functional Capacity Assessment looks at how a person manages everyday activities at home, at work and in the community, including their physical, cognitive and practical function.
At River Allied Health, FCAs are completed by our experienced Senior Occupational Therapist and can help to:
✅ Identify strengths, challenges and support needs
✅ Guide therapy and care planning
✅ Support NDIS and other funding applications or reviews
✅ Inform recommendations for equipment, assistive technology, home modifications and support needs
✅ Assist with return-to-work and broader functional planning.
An FCA may be particularly helpful when there has been a change in function, when support needs are unclear, or when detailed evidence is needed to guide future services and supports.
👉To discuss whether an FCA may be appropriate for you or your client, contact River Allied Health on (08) 8586 5126.
