In clinic we regularly see people with strains & sprains from their exercise class.
Depending on your injury, we may advise you to rest for a period of time after your treatment.
This is because your treatment is the start of the healing process not the end.
So please, don't "just do cardio" or "just do lower body".
Any exercise may have the potential to disrupt the healing process and that means a longer recovery for you.
If you are advised to rest, please do so.
Allow your body time to heal & fully recover, so you can get back to your favourite
exercise sooner with less risk of further injury.

If you work long hours, too many chained to a desk looking at a computer screen, or sitting in meetings, then no doubt you will have tight neck & shoulders.
Maybe you are having headaches or shoulder pain.
A massage at least once a month is a healthy fix for this type of stress & tension.
If you like to take care of yourself, keep fit and active, exercise 3-4 times a week,
then your muscles deserve some TLC to help them keep up the pace.
A remedial or sports massage once or twice a month is recommended for body maintainence.
Regular self-care is a healthy habit.
After all, you deserve it!

Whether you're having a Remedial Masage or Acupuncture session, one treatment will provide relief and make you feel better, but sometimes one is not enough.
You may need 2 or 3 treatments in a row to get significant, consistant improvement.
After this, a maintainence session every 4 - 6 weeks is a smart move.
Prevention is better than cure. Pro-Active is better than re-active.
Prevention comes with making regular treatment part of your lifestyle,
just like regular exercise.
