It’s been the week for beautiful hair 😮‍💨

When one door closes, another opens — and sometimes it leads you right where you’re meant to be. The first Paige of a new chapter for our salon starts tomorrow. From starting as a first year apprentice, to qualifying at 19, to managing the salon, becoming a master colourist, and all the little things in between, there’s so much to be grateful for in 5 short years of hairdressing. It’s so easy to get caught up in what’s next and overlook how far you have already come and what you have already achieved. I can not wait to share this next season with you all.

Tomorrow we open as Turn the Paige Hair — a new chapter, but with the same heart.
Here is a little back story for those who don’t know me! I started my hairdressing journey in 2020 doing a cert 2 at TAFE one day a week during school. The following year I started my apprenticeship at a little salon that ended up closing, which I was really devastated about at the time but as I always say everything happens for a reason! And without that salon closing I would not have ended up exactly where I’m meant to be. I then got a job at Floss’ as a shy little first year apprentice. Fast forward 2 years I completed my apprenticeship. Without going into too much detail I definitely got a bit big for my boots and thought the grass was greener on the other side…& that lasted a good 8 weeks! Before I even left the salon Floss said to me, “I’m not even going to advertise to fill your position because I know you’ll be back, whether you believe it or not this is your place and you belong here. I give it 3 months.” Anddd not even 3 months later I rung Floss and asked for my job back. I learnt my lesson very quickly that the grass isn’t greener on the other side, it’s greener where you water it. And now almost 18 months later I look back and think wow I was misguided and immature but more importantly how much I have changed and how far I’ve come. I planted a seed with Floss shortly after I returned about buying her salon one day.

“End of and Era” of “that Little Girl’s Dream”

Almost Twelve years ago, I opened Floss’ Hair Studio, after years of hairdressing, Hair shows, winning 2 international Hair award trips & managing salons. The little girl’s dream turned into the most beautiful reality.
Floss Hair Studio became more than just a salon!!! It became my heart, my passion, and a space filled with so much love, growth, and connection.

Over the years, The studio opened, putting my heart and soul into building it from scratch, I then welcomed my beautiful daughter Kenzi into the world and continued building this business more and more with the most incredible support around me.

If it wasn’t for you!!!! My clients, My team, My family & My friends, I truly wouldn’t be where I am today. There were a few tough years there but I’m endlessly grateful for every one of you 🤍
I’m entering a new chapter. I’ve been blessed with my amazing fiancé and his beautiful boys, and together we’ve built the most special life & blended family. My main goal now is to be present & to soak up these moments I can never get back 🫶🏻

Hairdressing has always been my heartbeat, my passion, my purpose.
That’s why I’m so proud that Floss’ Hair Studio space will continue with one of our beautiful team members Paige taking over. She’s ready, she’s passionate & im so proud of how much she has grown into the leader she is today. I’m so excited to still be apart of the team. I’ll still be here in salon two days a week, doing what I love most and watching the salon continue to grow and flourish 🌸

To my loyal clients over the past 12 years of business and following me around before that, sharing many milestones together, the laughs, the tears, the relationships. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this dream.

Writing this post with tears running down my face, brings back the memories of the day I announced starting, scared I wouldnt make it. I have achieved everything I could have ever imagined plus more, the decision has not come lightly but here’s to new beginnings, softer seasons, and the same love that started it all 🤍
