A little about the stylist behind the scissors!
In 2008, I started my very first hairdressing apprenticeship with Stefans. Not long after, I discovered I was pregnant with my amazing son!
In 2011, I returned to the industry and began working at Hairhouse Warehouse, where I stayed until 2015 before moving to Hairmoda. I continued my journey there until 2022, when I decided it was time to spread my wings and explore a new path. Soon after, I found out I was pregnant with my beautiful daughter!
I have always loved working and have always had a passion for hairdressing, but I felt called to do more. Drawing from my own life experiences, I wanted to help people in a more meaningful way. This led me into the youth work sector, which was incredibly rewarding, although at times it felt very close to home because of my own past experiences.
Today, I work as an Events and People Coordinator, supporting people living with disability and helping create an inclusive, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyle for our community.
During my years as a hairdresser, I often saw children and adults living with disability come into salons wanting a haircut, but for many, the environment could feel overwhelming β with blow dryers running, loud conversations, and bright lights all around.
Now, I have the opportunity to operate a mini salon from my current workplace, possAbilities Support Services. Not only am I continuing to help our community, but my services are also open to the general public.
Giving back to the community has always been something Iβve been passionate about, and now I have the opportunity to do that regularly. Even more special, all proceeds go directly back into possAbilities to support our clientele β something I am incredibly proud of.
