One batch of Jillaroo soap curing! Now to wait the two weeks before it can be used

On RDO’s from the office job, we make soaps… this one is Jackaroo. It’s a men’s frangrance, but I absolutely love it. This somewhat resembles Paco Rabanne One Million.
There’s 2 weeks curing time on these ones, but I’m happy to accept pre-orders. $5 per bar (approximately 100g)

Currently in the creation process: Magnesium Muscle Butter. This product is quite a thick balm with a coconut oil and Shea butter base, containing vitamin E to enrich the skin while soothing sore muscles. A little goes a long way. The magnesium content is quite high, sitting at around 20% of the total product, and with magnesium being easily absorbed when applied topically, this product will have excellent mineral benefits on the muscles. 50mL jar, $25. I’ve just made my first batch of pain spray, and am in the process of trying it out. Obviously the packaging isn’t so pretty just yet, but let’s get the formula perfect first! Those of you that know me, know a little about the chronic pain conditions I suffer from so I’m probably a good first tester. I’ll be using mum as a guinea pig next, so let’s keep everything crossed for a successful product! 🤞

Pink grapefruit lip balm

Ingredients: beeswax, coconut oil, pink grapefruit essential oil

Benefits of pink grapefruit:

Grapefruit oil is naturally high in antioxidants and phytochemicals that reduce oxidative stress and disease-causing inflammation. Many of grapefruit essential oil’s benefits are due to one of its main constituents called limonene (which makes up about 88 percent to 95 percent of the oil). Limonene is known to be a tumor-fighting, cancer-preventative phytochemical that protects DNA and cells from damage. In addition to limonene, grapefruit essential oil contains other powerful antioxidants, including vitamin C, myrcene, terpinene, pinene and citronellol. (1)

Most commonly, grapefruit oil is used to fight throat and respiratory infections, fatigue, muscle aches, as well as a natural remedy for arthritis. It’s also been used consistently by those working to lose weight. It’s said to help increase energy levels and metabolism, plus it also can help curb sugar cravings.

As a natural detoxification agent, grapefruit oil can help the liver cleanse the body of toxins and waste, plus it can activate your lymphatic system and control fluid retention.

Peppermint lip balm

Ingredients: beeswax, coconut oil, peppermint essential oil

Benefits of peppermint:

Peppermint oil is one of the most versatile essential oils out there. It can be used aromatically, topically and internally to address a number of health concerns, from muscle aches and seasonal allergy symptoms, to low energy and digestive complaints. It’s also commonly used to boost energy levels and improve both skin and hair health.

According to a review conducted by the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University, peppermint has significant antimicrobial and antiviral activities. It also works as a strong antioxidant, displays anti-tumor actions in lab studies, shows anti-allergenic potential and pain-killing effects, helps to relax the gastrointestinal tract and may be chemopreventive.

Tea tree lip balm

Ingredients: beeswax, coconut oil, tea tree essential oil

Benefits of tea tree:

Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca, is well-known for its powerful antiseptic properties and ability to treat wounds, which is why it’s one of the top antibacterial essential oils. Tea tree is a volatile essential oil derived mainly from the Australian native plant Melaleuca alternifolia. It’s been widely used throughout Australia for at least the past 100 years and for over seven decades, it’s been documented in numerous medical studies for its ability to kill many strains of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

I have recently began making and testing lip balms as the beginning of a natural body range. These will be available for purchase as soon as the new labels arrive, which will hopefully be within the next week.

This line was born from my daughters, and my own struggles with autoimmune diseases and suddenly becoming chemical intolerant. I’ve tried for so long to find commercial products to fill the needs we had, however upon reading labels and studying ingredients, almost EVERYTHING that was affordable was completely riddled with horrible fillers, as well as active ingredients that sound harmful.

None of my products contain perfumes or artificial fragrances, and all scents are from 100% essential oils.

None of my products contain artificial preservatives, and all preservative products (if an item contains any) are naturally based.

All products will have a full ingredients list on the label, so there’s no nasty surprises.

I will be making sure I have a vegan line in the very near future, however the current lip balms do contain locally sourced beeswax.
