Happy 1 Year Anniversary, Nakita!
When Nakita first came to us, she was very shy and quiet, but over time we’ve had the privilege of watching her come out of her shell.
The more we’ve gotten to know you, the more we’ve absolutely loved having you around. Your funny sense of humour always brings smiles to the team, your kindness never goes unnoticed, and your genuine nature makes everyone feel comfortable. Thank you for being YOU.
Happy 1 year anniversary, Nakita!

🫗🥄🔮POTION GROUP🧪🫧😃
BEFORE ↩️: a calm little 'potion lab'.
AFTER ↪️: glitter everywhere, feathers floating, recipes scattered, aprons sprawled, spoons in cauldrons, and 'giggle juice' bubbling up in imaginations.
Our Week 1 Potion Group was all about making 'Giggle Juice' — a pretend potion to make everyone laugh and feel happy. We reflected about what makes us feel happy: clouds, music, animals or the beach...and then added items to represent these into our potions!
Behind the mess was so much learning: following instructions, using descriptive language, sharing materials, problem-solving, asking for help, and confidently sharing ideas in a group.
We love when a room ends up looking like this… it means the magic of learning happened.

Once upon a time... 📖
All set up and ready for my Term 2 Narrative Language Group!
This afternoon I am helping children discover that great stories are made up of important parts - just like a recipe needs all the right ingredients.
We’ll be learning about characters, setting, problems, feelings, actions and endings through fun stories, games, visuals and group activities.
Narrative skills are so important for:
👂🏻listening comprehension
👀 reading comprehension
🗣️vocabulary growth
… and so much more❣️
The best part is, the group setting adds even more opportunities for growth by learning from peers and hearing different ideas; practicing listening to others and turn taking; building confidence speaking in front of others, and developing friendships.
I can’t wait to start building story telling skills this afternoon in a fun, supportive space.
