Last night I was feeling a little puffy, bloated and heavy, so I made myself a warm corn silk and goji berry tea 🌽
Corn silk—called Yu Mi Xu in Chinese medicine—is traditionally used to encourage urination and help the body clear accumulated dampness and fluid. I added a few goji berries for a slightly sweeter, more nourishing brew.
It’s light, surprisingly pleasant and one of those simple herbal teas I like having available when I feel a little sluggish and waterlogged.
A little caution: corn silk may have a diuretic effect, so check with your doctor or qualified practitioner before using it if you take diuretics, blood-pressure or diabetes medication, have kidney problems, are pregnant, or need to monitor your fluid or potassium levels.
This is general information and traditional-use education—not individual medical advice.
A little facial acupuncture for those “Are you actually serious right now?” lines 😂
Facial acupuncture involves placing fine needles in targeted areas of the face and may help relieve facial muscle and promote local circulation.
Because apparently simply asking the kids to make sensible choices isn’t an option 🙃
Individual responses to treatment vary.
Results may also vary depending on what the kids do next 😂
Maybe you don’t need to push through it…
Maybe you need this.

Think you have insomnia? It might actually be one of these habits... 😴
Sleep isn't just about how many hours you get—it's about the quality of those hours. Small changes to your evening routine can make a huge difference to how rested you feel the next day.
And before you think I'm pointing fingers... I've done every single one of these at some point too. Late-night chocolate? Yep. Scrolling in bed? Guilty. Coffee a little too late? Definitely.
The goal isn't perfection—it's simply being aware of the habits that might be working against you. If you're struggling with your sleep, try changing just one thing at a time and see how your body responds.
Which one do you think is having the biggest impact on your sleep?
Did you miss out last time? 🌿
Our Winter Solstice Retreat sold out, and the feedback afterwards reminded us exactly why we do this.
A day to slow down. To reconnect. To move your body. To breathe. To be nourished. To leave feeling lighter than when you arrived.
Now it's time for BLOOM: Spring Equinox.
Join us for a beautiful half-day of yoga, Qigong, a tea ceremony, acupuncture, sound healing, nourishing food and connection as we welcome a new season.
If you've been telling yourself you'll make more time for you... this is your chance.

We often think of acupuncture as something only adults need... but kids can benefit too.
From growing pains and tummy troubles to headaches, sleep, anxiety and more, acupuncture can be a gentle way to support their little bodies.
Every treatment is adapted to the child, using the fewest needles necessary and always at a pace they're comfortable with.
Tiny needles. Big benefits. 🤍
