The makeup artist you see in October 2025 is not the same makeup artist youāre seeing todayā¦ and Iām bloody proud of that š„¹
Over the last year, Iāve invested in more than just my kit. Iāve invested in education, online learning, masterclasses, new products and, most importantly, myself.
Because being qualified doesnāt mean the learning stops. Every face, every new technique and every piece of education helps me grow into a better artist for the people who sit in my chair š¤
Youāre not just investing in the hour you spend with your makeup artistāyouāre investing in the education, experience and countless hours behind the scenes.
Iām not here to say my old work was bad. She got me to where I am today. Iām just bloody proud that I didnāt stay there āØš
And Iām only just getting started š¤
When I started JSA back in 2018, Sofia was working from the front room of her parentsā houseā¦ and I was doing exactly the same thing, glamming everyone from a little room at my parentsā house šāØ
Even back then, she had a vision for everything. I remember always being in awe of her attention to detail ā not just her insane talent as a makeup artist, but the way she put thought and intention into absolutely everything around her.
When I closed my doors in 2020/2021 due to Covid and welcoming my first born into the world, Sofia continued building, despite going through a global pandemic.
Coming back into makeup artistry professionally after 4ā5 years and seeing everything she has achieved in that time goes to show hard work and dedication can take you anywhere š„¹ She has become such an inspiration to me when it comes to women in business, especially within the makeup industry.
Because the thing about makeup artistry isā¦ itās not always easy. Unlike many beauty services, we donāt necessarily have a revolving door of regular maintenance appointments. Weāre constantly putting ourselves out there, creating, marketing and chasing new opportunities. It can be so easy to lose motivation and question whether to keep going.
But watching you never give up, and now seeing you open your very own storeā¦ I honestly couldnāt be happier for you š„¹š¤
A woman with a vision who never stopped believing in it ā well bloody done, Sofia. You should be so incredibly proud of everything youāve built. Hereās to the next chapter, because I have a feeling this is only the beginning š¤š¤š¤š¤
