Barrier repair is a biological process that requires time, consistency & the correct support.
When the skin barrier becomes compromised through inflammation, over-exfoliation, environmental stress or incorrect product use, the skin’s ability to protect itself & regulate moisture is weakened.
At Imperial Beauty Room, my approach to skin health is guided by the principles of corneotherapy, focusing on restoring the function of the stratum corneum, calming inflammation & supporting the skin’s natural renewal cycle.
Rather than forcing change through aggressive treatments, I work with the skin’s physiology using carefully selected treatments & professional homecare suited to each individual skin.

Your skin barrier is your first line of defence, it keeps moisture in, keeps irritants out & supports natural repair. When you remove too many layers (even with the best of intentions) you risk stripping away healthy cells that your skin needs to function properly.
This can lead to:

Honestly — I’d say everyone. Especially those with:
• Active acne
• Dry, compromised or sensitive skin
• Teens or anyone tempted by TikTok trends
