A position has become available to join our floristry team in our shop.
The ideal candidate would have a love for floral arranging & customer service, a desire to be a part of the flower growing industry & a true passion for flowers.

The position would be part time with the possible opportunity to advance to a full time position. Hours are flexible for the right candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
-Creating floral arrangements in line with the current style of Avonlea Flowers arrangements.
-Preparing flowers for use in arrangements.
-Bunching flowers for the retail shop.
-Presentation of arrangements (Including wrapping, ribbons, etc).
-Serving customers within the retail store.
-Handling payments
-Answering phone calls in a cheerful & appropriate manor.
-Taking detailed floral arrangement orders.
-Maintaining a neat & efficient workspace.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Previous floristry experience is preferred.
-Knowledge on flower varieties.
-Ability to represent Avonlea Flowers to the local community in a professional and friendly manner.
-Excellent phone skills.
-Exceptional customer service skills.
-Ability to work independently.
-Experience in taking orders.
-Confidence with money handling (both cash & EFTPOS).
-Ability to work well within a small, close knit team environment.
-Ability to solve problems.
-Willingness to learn & perform the job with pride.
