Husband and wife, Brent Barber & Rejoice Phiri continue to nurture and grow the shibui brand, having taken over from founders, husband & wife, Rob Hastie and Tracey Colebrook, who grew shibui on a simple footprint of ‘low fuss’ hair. Their dry/freehand cutting, natural approach and a preference for using their hands over the brush became the essence of the brand. We work with an awareness of fashion but endeavour to deliver hair that is not contrived and is easy to maintain. shibui is all about understanding and appreciating the true characteristics of your hair. We embrace the imperfections and variables that make us all unique. shibui colour specialists appropriate colour to your natural colouring, skin tone and eye color. They prefer to colour after the cut, reading the texture and shape to enhance and excite.
