For the first time , a drug designed to trigger the growth of new teeth in humans has entered human clinical trials. The treatment works by targeting a protein called USAG-1 — a protein that naturally suppresses the formation of extra teeth. Scientists believe the human body may still retain a hidden ability to grow new teeth inside the jaw, and researchers are now trying to reactivate that dormant mechanism. In laboratory experiments, researchers successfully stimulated the growth of entirely new teeth simply by blocking this protein. Unlike implants or dentures, this approach is based on the body’s own natural regeneration process — meaning a real living tooth with a natural root and biological connection to the jawbone. If human trials prove successful, this technology could permanently change the future of dentistry. Scientists also believe humans may genetically possess “third tooth buds” hidden within the jaw — dormant structures that have remained inactive throughout life. This new drug may be capable of switching that biological mechanism back on. What once sounded like science fiction is now becoming one of the most exciting medical projects in the world. https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/health/a71184991/human-new-tooth-regrowth-trials-timeline/ . . . #Teeth #Dentistry #Medicine #Science #Explore

A major breakthrough in non-invasive medicine! The FDA has approved Histotripsy—a revolutionary medical technology that uses focused ultrasound sound waves to mechanically destroy targeted cancer tissue without the need for invasive surgery or chemotherapy. By using high-intensity sound pulses, this therapy precisely targets liver tumors and breaks down cellular structures while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. This offers patients a less invasive treatment option with reduced recovery times and fewer side effects compared to traditional treatments. What are your thoughts on sound wave technology changing the future of oncology? Let us know in the comments! 👇 #medicalinnovation #cancer #cancerresearch #focusedultrasound #oncology
