This is a really difficult post to write, because I value my clients and I know things come up at the last minute sometimes.

However, there's been an increasing number of least minute cancellations and no shows in the last couple of months.

In the past two and a half weeks alone, I've had six clients cancel at the last minute or even worse, simply not show up AND I've had two photo shoots cancelled at the last minute.

This represents a significant negative impact.
I'm self employed, so when I don't work, I don't get paid.
I'm often turning down other jobs, especially right now which is the busiest time of the year.
I try my best to accommodate my clients - I offer flexible hours across days, nights and weekends.
When bookings are cancelled last minute or a client doesn't show up, this has flow on effects not just financially, but because it is my energy and time away from my family.

In light of this, I've made the decision to no longer accept ANY bookings for hair and makeup without a non refundable 50% booking fee/ deposit (for bridal, events, photoshoots).

Most of my clients are absolutely amazing and I'm thankful for each and every one of you.

Invest in continued education and always practice my craft.
You can always learn so listen more than you speak.

* Soul - spend time with my babies and my DH, listen to music, paint, draw and write.

So I've been super quiet for a while now - I (like many) struggled with all the challenges of the last two years.
I kept most of these off my instagram as I rarely post personal/life stuff on here.

One of the many challenges of the past year includes my pregnancy with my second child.

I'll go into it at some point (I've been asked by a few people, so if you'd like me to share just comment below or dm me).

Although difficult and I've still got a rough recovery ahead, the challenges were worth it because they resulted in our family being blessed with this darling little girl.
She's only 2 weeks old and was born early, but she's already brought so much joy to our lives and her brother is absolutely in love with her (as we all are).

Meet our beautiful, sweet little baby girl - Anka Rose Babic.
