So good for us to spend time in sunshine!!
Winter is upon us!! If a chill adds to a head cold, this is my favourite recipe. I call it Immune Defence for fast relief from colds & flu.
A tablespoon daily for maintenance, but when sick half a cup is good. Careful it will clean & detox the bowels!!
In 4 litres of purified or rain water:
3 large corms garlic (peeled)
approx 500 gm of fresh ginger
2 - 3 whole chillies
peel of 6 lemons (keep the juice to add later when cool)
optional:
500 gm galangal
300 gm turmeric
All ingredients preferably organic.
Simmer slowly for a day on the stove or I love a slow cooker, leaving it for about 12 - 24 hours. When cool add the lemon juice.
Strain the mix into bottles. I keep refrigerated.

Delicious!!
Pistachios are one of the few plant-based foods that provide all nine essential amino acids the building blocks the body cannot produce on its own. These amino acids are critical for muscle repair, hormone production, immune function, and overall cellular health.
Along with healthy fats, fiber, antioxidants, and protein, pistachios offer a nutrient-dense combination that supports both energy and recovery. Nature often hides some of the most complete nutrition inside the smallest foods.
