Hair at Studio 2a

It’s been a busy little salon lately, so social media has been a bit quieter, and I’m actually okay with that.

Most days I’m much happier chatting away with whoever’s sitting in my chair than trying to think of something clever to post on Facebook.

So there’s no big announcement today, no sales pitch and no “exciting news”…

I’m heading into another fully booked week and, as always, I’m incredibly grateful for how busy you are all keeping my little salon. ❤️

Things are very full at the moment, so just a little reminder that Hair @ Studio 2a is now appointment only and I currently have very limited availability coming up.

While I’m with a client, my focus is completely on them, which means I can’t always answer the phone or reply to messages straight away. If you leave me a message, I promise I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

We're looking a Front of House / Barista team member!

Rich Market Cafe & Nursery is on the hunt for a reliable person to join our small team, working across both Front of House and on the coffee machine.

Our current trading hours are 8am to 4pm Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays, and 9am to 3pm Saturdays & Sundays.

Our initial requirement is for someone who is available to work Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with room to grow for the right person.

Barista/Hospitality experience is preferred by not essential if you're keen to learn. What matters most is that you provide great customer service, have a strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team.

A little update from Hair @ Studio 2a….

Thanks to the incredible support of my beautiful clients, appointments are continuing to fill well in advance and my little salon is busier than ever.

Because of this, I’ve made the decision that Hair @ Studio 2a will now operate by appointment only.

This means I’ll no longer be able to accommodate walk-in haircuts, so I encourage you to book ahead to make sure you don’t miss out on the time that suits you.

It feels a little strange making this change because I’ve always loved being able to squeeze people in where I can, but reaching this point is also something I’m incredibly grateful for.

What started as my little salon has become something I’m so proud of and that is entirely because of the people who continue to walk through my door, recommend me to their friends and family, and trust me with their hair.

Thank you for keeping my chair full, my scissors busy and my little business thriving. I genuinely appreciate every single one of you and absolutely love what I do. ❤️

🌿 A little break for Studio 2a 🌿

The salon is closed this week while I take a little time out and catch up on life outside these four walls. I’ll be back behind the chair Monday 17th August.

I’ll be switching off from work for the week, so messages and enquiries will be answered when I return.

A huge thank you to all my beautiful clients for keeping this little salon so incredibly busy. I appreciate you more than you know.

This week is completely booked and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to every one of you who continues to support my little salon.

Next week I’ll be taking a short break from behind the chair. It’ll be a week of catching up on all the behind-the-scenes jobs that come with running two small businesses - bookwork, paperwork, a few overdue life admin tasks and hopefully a little time to recharge too.

I’ll be back the following week, Monday 17th August, refreshed and ready to welcome you back into the chair.

Some weeks it’s not just the haircuts that fill my cup… it’s the kindness.

I’ve been absolutely spoilt by some beautiful clients this past week with delicious treats and thoughtful surprises.

Rich, glossy reds never go out of style. This beautiful wine-inspired colour catches the light in all the right places and gives the hair so much depth and shine.
