Every skin concern has a different goal.
✨ Pigmentation requires a different approach to acne scarring. ✨ A compromised skin barrier needs a different approach to ageing skin. ✨ Not every client should be treated at the same depth.

The best results come from understanding the skin in front of you, choosing the appropriate depth, using quality products for each step, and supporting the skin before, during and after treatment.

After 25 years working with skin one thing has never changed...
Precision will always outperform aggressive treatments.

Microneedling isn't about creating the most trauma. It's about creating the right response.
One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that more bleeding, deeper needles or a more aggressive treatment automatically means " better results"

It doesn't.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Melasma is usually one of the most challenging concerns to manage because it isn't just simply "a pigment problem" .
For many clients, melasma is influenced by a combination of heat, their hormones, inflammation, UV exposure and genetics.
This is why I always explain that melasma management is rarely about finding a "magic treatment" or a quick fix.
Instead, it's often about taking consistent baby steps:
✨ Strengthening the skin barrier
✨ Reducing inflammation
✨ Supporting pigment regulation
✨ Choosing the right treatments at the right time ✨ Protecting your skin long term

When skin needling is appropriate, it can be a valuable part of a melasma treatment plan.

However, not every client is ready for needling immediately, which is why preparation is often just as important or really more important as the treatment itself.
One of the reasons I prefer performing melasma-focused needling during winter is that we're generally working in a more controlled environment, with less heat exposure and fewer triggers that can contribute to flare-ups.
The goal isn't to fight your skin.
The goal is to work with it.
Because healthy, regulated skin will almost always respond better than stressed, inflamed skin.

If you're struggling with melasma and would like a personalised assessment, I'd love to help🩷

One Architectural Lift Facial™.
No injectables. No downtime.

This treatment combines specialised lifting massage, lymphatic drainage, facial sculpting techniques, Gua Sha, Bojin therapy, tcm methods + light therapy to support facial structure, circulation and skin vitality.

The goal isn't to change your face it's to help it function, move and age better.

Take a look at the jawline, neck and lower face after just one session.

I always say we need to work on the "scaffold", the structure UNDER the skin AND the canvas (your skin), having both treatments in a treatment plan Is necessary to get your best overall result.

Everyone is talking about injecting peptides right now
But peptides in dermal treatments are not new, we’ve been using peptides in professional skincare for years

Results come from how they are delivered into your skin plus how the skin is prepped prior.

I tend not to follow the trends, I always assess what actually works first and then decide whether or not to incorporate it in my work.

My first training on Exosomes with peptides was almost 3 yrs ago and only now am I introducing them as part of my treatment menu as they have been trialled, tested and proven the results.

The best results don’t come from the product alone they come from how the treatment is performed

Depth. Timing. Technique. Each aspect is so important

The Regulated Skin Method™ is a method I've put together that supports skin function and provides progressive improvements not just short-term results.

Not every skin is ready for this level of treatment.

DM EXO to find out if it’s right for you.
