Natural is not a regulated word🌿 In Australia nobody defines it, nobody checks it, and nobody has to approve it before it goes on the front of a bottle. Same with eco, gentle and plant based. They cost a brand nothing to print.
Fragrance is the other one to watch. Cleaning products are not required to list every ingredient, so one word can stand in for a long list you will never see.
Certification works differently. An independent body audits the ingredients and the process, and it can take the logo away. It has to be earned, and it can be lost.
So turn the bottle around. The front is designed to sell you something. The back is where the actual information is.
