Why do curly cuts last so much longer than standard haircuts?

Because we cut your curls individually, working with their natural pattern, shrinkage and the way they sit together. Instead of creating a shape that quickly grows out or becomes heavy, we build balance into the haircut so it continues to fall beautifully as it grows.

For this client, we’ve created a shape that should last approximately 6–8 months before she needs another full curly cut!

We see clients all the time who aren’t quite sure what to ask for, what their curls need, or what to expect from the appointment.

You don’t need to come in knowing your curl type, your perfect routine or exactly what cut you want.

The main thing we ask is that you arrive with your hair washed, dry and in its natural state, as outlined in your appointment email. This allows us to see how your curls naturally sit before we begin.

From there, we’ll talk through what you’re wanting, look at what your hair is doing now and create a plan together.

Our appointments are relaxed, collaborative and designed to help you leave understanding your hair a little better than when you walked in.
