Please, do any other dog owners have a dog who wants their owner to sit with them and hold their bones for them? This is Thea and she will stare at me sadly till I succumb to her request, she will initially hold it herself but then requires assistance, sometimes with endearing sad face, sometimes she will bring the bone to me and drop it in my lap, at other times she will literally throw it at me, if I ignore all requests she will stare and periodically bark at me... obviously dog wins 99 % of the time. She ignores all lectures I give on the important tasks I have to do, like writing my second novel with 'teenager' bored face...

Off on an adventure - rainforest, swing bridges among the tree tops, a climb up higher, meet the birds, time with good friends. All at O'Reilleys my first visit and what a treat, it's so nice to step out of one's routine to be refreshed and inspired by nature and new places to see.

I’ve just finished reading Anne Pickering’s Book I in the Stream Reader series - Stream Reader - which I enjoyed and loved. Each reader sees something different within the same story. This is what I saw. I loved the way Anne has skillfully weaved magic throughout her story using a language spoken thoughtfully. I connected with Sarian the main protagonist and her unique gifts. Through her characters, Anne shows how important the family unit is. I also felt the warmth and strength of her friendships, or chosen family, reminding us of how important human connection is. The other theme that resonated deeply with me was how, in times past, we revered and respected Mother Nature, the sun, the moon the stars, and as the days slipped past, we followed her rhythm. I found comfort in feeling the energy of the group of people who secretly banded together to protect the vulnerable. I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll simply say that this book has so much to offer. As I read, it opened my mind and my heart to reconnect with what is important. I can’t wait to read Book II in the Stream Reader series. I highly recommend Stream Reader.

Two treats for me today, a visit to my local Linville Cafe, also my Post Office and well worth the visit, today I'm having lunch, and it just arrived oh my gosh it is soo good!
But the reason for my visit is I knew my next read was waiting to be picked up 'Till the End of Time' by Jemaja Lindner, Author. The tricky bit will be holding off reading it until my upcoming trip, as it's meant to be my holiday read... Since I published my debut fantasy novel 'Stream Reader' I've been more keen than ever to explore the work of other authors on the same journey, not that I ever need an excuse to find a good book to read...

This is something I don't share lightly, but rather with heaviness in my heart. It is with deep concern for Narissa and the choice she is making to get her message out for all people with disabilities, at genuine risk to herself. Narissa has been an advocate for the disability sector her whole life, but not only that, everyone who comes into her life is touched by her empathy, generosity, and genuinely caring nature. I hope that others will chose to share this so that her messsge may be heard.
