As a cosmetic nurse and owner of a skin clinic, I’ve tried a lot over the years. These are five things I genuinely think are worth spending your money on. If I could give my teenage self one piece of life advice and one piece of skin advice...

Life: Stop worrying so much about what everyone else thinks. Most people are far too busy thinking about themselves anyway. 🤍

Skin: Moisturise. Seriously. Your future skin will thank you. It’s funny how the simplest advice is often the advice we need most. What advice would you give your teenage self if you had the chance? I’d love to hear it!

There’s definitely been a shift in recent years towards a more natural aesthetic, and it’s something I really love seeing. But the truth is, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. Every face is different, and factors like your anatomy, facial proportions, and natural features should always guide treatment decisions (not trends). If you’re unsure about your next step, whether that’s maintaining or starting fresh, the most important thing is finding a cosmetic clinic you trust. Thoughtful, personalised advice will always lead to the best long-term results.

Postpartum is such a unique season, and your skin can change just as much as everything else. After having my boys, I focused on supporting my skin barrier and restoring a healthy glow with treatments like LED Light Therapy and gentle, clinically appropriate peels.
Of course, every postpartum journey is different. What works for one person may not be the right approach for another, which is why a personalised treatment plan is so important.
