Fit by Forty 💪
This week was all about that repeat meal!! Honestly eating for weight loss is easier if it’s boring. That doesn’t mean the meals themselves are boring but it means you eat similar things on repeat. It is so much easier for your mental load to not be thinking about new and inventive ways to eat clean!
I am aiming for 30+ grams of protein at every meal - keeps you full, feeds your muscles and as a bonus you can eat more food for less calories.
I also prepped to jump into a metabolic reset next week…. Bye bye sugar 😊👋
Something I feel compelled to share this morning.
I’m a big believer that you can’t change the choices you made for yourself children in the past so *if possible* we shouldn’t spend time regretting those choices.
Perhaps hindsight is the most powerful tool that we never have access to?
And the “mum guilt” over striving to be the perfect parent all the time? Stop! What even is the perfect parent? Does it even exist?
Do the best job you know how to do and spend the most valuable resource we have - time - wisely.

Recap - Week 4
Plenty of steps this week!! Really focussing on stacking my good habits and not trying to overhaul everything all at once.
1kg down, 9kg to go!
Recap - Week 2
Other than a few events this week I just needed to slow down and prioritise self-care.
As women we need to remember our bodies really change throughout the month and this week was definitely a “bloated belly” one for me. That’s totally normal for me in this week of my cycle so I just ran with it and listened to my body as best as I could.
Kept up with water, walking and a couple of training sessions but mainly focussed on rest!!
Next week I will be adding weekly weigh-ins 👌👌
Recap - Week One
Prioritising health doesn’t have to be restricting food and full on workouts.
For me this week it looked like:
- walking 10000 steps per day
- filling my body with antioxidants
- spending time with friends and family
- heaps of time outside in the beautiful winter sun
As you can see I’m not about to cut out my one coffee per day either 🤭
Day 1 - Sunday 7th June
Like many other mummas out there, I’ve successfully lost some kilos and then become slack with my meal prep and generally not prioritising myself meaning SOME of the work is undone.
I’m definitely not starting from square one and am confident I’ve got the tools to DO THIS…. Again 🤭
Top Tip #1. Drink at least 2L of water per day.
💧 Your body is mostly water
Around 60% of your body is made up of water, every cell relies on it to function properly.
💧 It supports energy levels
Dehydration can make you feel tired, sluggish, and even foggy-headed.
💧 It aids digestion
Water helps break down food and keeps things moving, preventing bloating and constipation.
💧 It flushes out waste and toxins
Your kidneys depend on water to remove toxins through urine and keep your system clean.
💧 It keeps joints lubricated
Water cushions your joints, making movement smoother and reducing discomfort.
💧 It supports healthy skin
Hydration helps maintain skin elasticity and can improve overall appearance.
💧 It supports weight management
Drinking enough water can help control appetite and support metabolism.
