Your energy is your currency. ✨

What I’ve learned about money over the years is that it’s really just energy in motion — an exchange.

I used to live in depletion and burnout. But over the past six years, I’ve learned that our energy is our true potential. Without it, we can’t fully live our purpose, feel present in our lives, or find the strength to balance all the things — work, family, and self.

Holistic health has been my journey back to self — rebuilding my energy, confidence, and strength, and rediscovering my deepest passions and purpose.

And along the way, I’ve been met with the most incredible people, opportunities, and experiences. The growth, the learning, the wisdom shared — it’s worth more than money can ever buy.

Yesterday was also pay day in my online business — a beautiful bonus that reminds me that abundance flows when we’re aligned with what we love. It all began by nourishing my body and rebuilding my energy from the inside out. 🌿

Day 5 of our Detox ✨
Sharing one of my favourite nourishing meals right now — tofu rice paper rolls 👌

One thing I always love reminding people — this detox isn’t about restriction or missing out. It’s about reconnecting with your body and discovering how good you can feel when you nourish it with real, whole foods 🌿

Our detox principles are simple and supportive —
✨ Load up on colourful veggies
✨ Swap out meat for lighter plant proteins
✨ Listen to your body — around Day 4, I often feel best increasing my protein intake
✨ Choose wholefoods that make you feel vibrant, not deprived
✨ Hydrate well and rest when you need to — detox is as much about slowing down as it is about food

And a little note on why I love tofu, especially for women’s health and hormones, it’s rich in phytoestrogens (plant-based compounds that gently support estrogen balance), easy to digest, and such a versatile, nourishing protein source.

✨ When to enjoy it most:
Tofu and other soy-based foods are especially supportive in the follicular phase (the week after your period) and throughout perimenopause, when estrogen levels can fluctuate. During these times, phytoestrogens help bring a sense of balance — supporting mood, energy, and hormonal harmony.

This detox isn’t about “less.”

One week since Wellness Day at Nan Tien Temple ✨

It’s been a week since our Pickling with Gratitude workshop, and I’m still carrying the lightness and joy of that beautiful day.

There were so many small, heartfelt moments that continue to stay with me and in gratitude, I wanted to share some of them.

It was the stories and the connections that made it so special — hearing people’s health journeys, their love of their gardens, their fermenting adventures at home. Some were new to the practice, curious and inspired to keep experimenting with new fruits and vegetables.

Others shared family traditions or creative ways they bring this ritual into their homes.

I loved seeing the groups who came together — families, friends, work colleagues, mums and daughters — all sharing in the moment.

My brother showing up for me meant so much, as did my beautiful neighbour who came along to experience the day together at the Temple.

The Monastic team’s gorgeous jars and hand-designed labels added such a thoughtful touch, and I’m still touched by the care that went into every detail.

One participant created a stunning jar of cauliflower, radish, and ginger in the shape of a lotus flower — a true work of art.

Others crafted their jars as gifts, or began planning Christmas projects to share after the workshop.

It warmed my heart to see a young family pickling side by side, their little boy completely immersed in the ritual.

The tables were filled with rainbows of vegetables — bright, nourishing, full of life — and conversations flowed about tuning into our bodies’ unique needs through the wisdom of Chinese medicine.

The biggest gift of all was witnessing the ripple effect — knowing that everyone would carry this ritual forward, sharing it with others in their homes and communities.

So many moments to remember, and so much gratitude for what was shared.

A little deep dive into women’s hormones, the liver, stress, and nutrient balance ✨

So often, when people hear the word detox, they instantly think weight loss —
but it’s truly so much more than that.

A gentle, supportive detox is about helping the body find its natural balance again — on a cellular level. When our liver is supported, stress is lowered, and key nutrients are replenished, our hormones can finally communicate the way they’re meant to.

🌿 The liver plays a huge role in metabolising and clearing hormones, especially estrogen — and when it’s overloaded or sluggish, symptoms like fatigue, mood swings, and bloating can show up.

💧 Chronic stress and nutrient deficiencies only add to that load, making it harder for the body to restore harmony.

That’s why I’ve come to love gentle detoxing — it’s a way to nourish and support our natural systems so they can do their job beautifully.

✨ And when the body is in balance, weight loss isn’t the goal — it becomes a natural symptom of harmony.

✨ Nourishing from the inside out ✨

This week I’m focusing on gently rebuilding and nourishing my gut lining — slowing down to support my body’s rest and digest phase.

The liquid phase plays such an important role in giving our digestion a break while still delivering key nutrients that help repair and restore balance. I’m leaning into whole, natural foods, adding plenty of greens like spinach, and starting my mornings with fresh lemon water and chia — such a simple yet powerful ritual for gut health and detoxification 🍋💚

Movement, mindful meals, and moments of stillness — all helping my body feel cleansed, energised, and deeply nourished from within. 🌿✨

Prepping for my first 3 days of our 10 day detox… and I’m starting tomorrow ✨✨

It’s been such a beautiful journey — I used to need it more often, especially during stressful times, but as I’ve found more balance over this past year, it’s become a gentle reset I truly look forward to.

I’m jumping in this week because it always feels so refreshing and energising — it supports my body right down to the cellular level! 🌿

I’ve noticed less anxiety, more steady moods, glowing skin, great digestion, better energy, and an overall sense of lightness and happiness. I even released some stress-related weight my body had been holding onto 🦋

Full heart after yesterday’s workshops and my time at the Nan Tien Temple 💙

Focusing on my heart — on love, connection, and purpose — completely outweighed any nerves I had about stepping out and sharing what I love.

It couldn’t have been a more nurturing space or community to run my first two workshops of this kind. I’m so grateful.

One beautiful takeaway from Chinese medicine is how food and our unique energy work together — “like the weather inside our body.” I feel such a strong pull to share this — how food can truly nourish, support our emotions, and help us feel well from the inside out.

As I rang the gratitude bell on my way back to the car, I paused to give thanks — sending out love and appreciation to everyone in my life.

This path doesn’t feel like it’s just about me anymore. It’s about helping others rise into their health, happiness, and potential. I feel like I’ve finally found what true balance means — how everything we surround ourselves with — food, sound, movement, people, and community — all play a role in nourishing us or pulling us off balance.

Every small step toward a healthier, more aligned version of yourself makes such a big difference.

(And yes — even something as simple as a carrot can support our stomach and spleen in Chinese medicine!) 🥕

On my way out, I was met by a turtle, koi fish, and lotus flowers — little signs that felt like gifts to end the day.

A reminder that when we slow down, we notice the beauty that’s already around us. 🌸✨
