DAY BEFORE I TURN 40 🎂
These are the things I would tell my younger self..
💓 Your teens are really hard & feel impossible to navigate. I know you feel like you’re weird & never fit in; but I promise when we get older - we don’t care anymore. It will all make sense later.
💓 Your 20s you will battle for your own life; mentally & physically. That dreaded “C word” will hit you like a tonne of bricks, but you will learn just how strong you truly are. It’s going to be one of your hardest decades, the people you expect to help you, just won’t. But this is also the decade that you defy all the doctors & become a mum for the first time. You will birth the most beautiful creation & this will change your whole perspective on life. You will finally see yourself in another being & realise that you were never actually hard to love. It’s so important to understand that you will eventually have the “mother daughter” relationship you always craved, it’s just that you need to be the mum in the story & that’s ok.
💓 Your 30s are rough, still finding it so hard to understand why the world makes no sense & the feeling of being lost is overwhelming. You will finally have that dark cloud lifted from your mind & everything will finally make sense. At the end of our 30s is when we finally accept ourselves & learn to love ourselves for the quirky, emotional gangsta that we are.
💓 There will be a woman that will come into your life like a hurricane in your late 20s, but she will be our most fierce supporter & advocate. She will be the first person to ever understand us & show us what family truly is. You MUST cherish this relationship, she will be the aunty your daughters deserve & the greatest friend life can offer.
💓 We will finally find our person at the end of our 30s. He will be all the love you ever gave to others that comes straight back to you. He will heal you, support you & show you what true love feels like.
All the hard days pass; the pain will eventually leave your body & we will be so proud of the person we are 💓
Our 20s we battle health
Our 30s we battle toxic relationships
Our 40s will be dedicated to love 💓
