The world’s longest living people and cultures all have these things in common. For those of us who may feel a little far from a remote seaside town or village in the mountains, we wanted to capture the essence of longevity, from the natural rhythm of the ones that have been here the longest — fungi.

Things I’ve found chic recently: nature edition.

1. Stone steps so overgrown they’ve clearly decided to become part of the garden. Unbothered. Winning.
2. Dew drops that cling to a leaf’s edge like it was placed there deliberately. Natures jewellery.
3. Brugmansia — angel’s trumpets — hanging like the garden is mid-performance and you just walked in.
4. A wild cottage garden that looks overgrown and messy in a deliberate way. Grass garden paths, extra chic. 
5. An outdoor shower surrounded by so much green it qualifies as a forest bathing experience. The most ancient kind of spa.
6. Flowers as a hairstyle. No, you’re never too old.
7. Iridescent mushrooms that were definitely grown for fairies to sit on.

Nature has been absolutely showing off lately and I for one am taking notes. Save this for when you need reminding that the most chic things are almost always free. 🌿
