Here is why we need your hands completely «naked» when you walk through the door:
⚡️ It causes lifting. Hand creams and oils leave a greasy barrier on the nail. Even with professional prep and dehydrators, that stubborn oily film can stay trapped underneath, meaning your beautiful new set might start lifting after just a few days.
🛠 It clogs our e-files. Modern, clean manicures rely on precision e-file bits. When your skin is softened by lotion, the skin doesn’t exfoliate cleanly—it turns gummy, rolls up, and clogs the drill bits.
🔥 It increases the risk of friction. A slippery canvas makes it harder for the tools to grip properly. The bit can easily slip, which increases the risk of accidental nicks or that uncomfortable friction heat on your natural nail.

Ceramic vs carbide bits explained.

Carbide vs ceramic — which one actually belongs in your hand right now?

Both cut, but they work in completely different ways. Carbide bits shave product away with sharp flutes — fast, precise, and built for bulk gel removal at 18,000–25,000 RPM with light pressure and a flat angle. Push too hard and they’ll grab the surface.

Ceramic bits grind rather than cut. They run noticeably cooler, hold their edge longer, and are gentler on the natural nail — ideal for refining the apex, finishing around the cuticle, or working on sensitive clients at 10,000–15,000 RPM. Hold them at a 30–45° angle and let the bit do the work.
