Parent question of the week!

We asked some parents for their most pressing questions about their teens.

“My son is starting to get spots – he’s struggling with them – what should I do and how should I talk to him?”

This is always a contentious subject, and it can be hard to know how to speak to your teen without offending them or creative self-consciousness. Our best advice is that just like shampoo, deodorant or body wash, skincare is personal hygiene. It’s not about vanity or feeling ‘girly’, it’s just basic self-care. If they can look after their skin just like they do hygiene, they’ll find that they can get the spots under control.

No need to create an extensive, exhaustive routine – let’s face it, they probably won’t keep it up. So start simple – cleansing is the most important step, so we suggest our Cleansing Pads. If they’re sporty, they can keep it in their kit bag and simply wipe away the sweat post workout or practice. Then, if they enjoy it and keep it up, add a moisturiser.

To give a little teen input, here’s a message from some boys in our community…

Everything we did as part of The Hangout was specifically designed with teens in mind. Of course, a huge part of the event for us had to be skincare. At The Hangout, this came in the form of skincare masterclasses, held by our indu expert and makeup artist Emily, alongside TikTok creator Ella Rose Howes. The classes focussed on the simplifying skincare routines, sticking to the 3 main steps (cleanse, moisturise, protect) and ingredients to avoid for teen skin.

Ella’s content is centred around acne positivity, sharing the reality of her 20s with skincare mistakes, including her journey to dissolve facial filler that she had done as a teenager. She was the perfect relatable voice for the teens in the audience, as they felt comfortable enough to ask questions and share their own experiences to the group.

We also had a number of accompanying parents come up to the team to compliment and talk about the importance of moments like this. We’re all about education for teens, and finding more fun, interactive ways to engage with our audience.

If this is something your teen would like to get involved with in the future, they can download the app and join the conversation over on TYB: https://app.tyb.xyz/brand/indu-4

Our mission: to get indu into the hands of as many teens as possible - wherever they are, from London to Sydney!

Last week, team indu was on the ground in Sydney introducing the brand to teens IRL! We headed to Westfield Bondi Junction to hand out skincare samples and meet local shoppers.

To make things even sweeter, we teamed up with Blessed Bowls - because teens in Australia love an açaí bowl. On Friday, we sampled Blessed Bowls açaí + indu skincare together, creating the perfect summer pairing. Then on Saturday morning, we were back at Bondi Junction handing out indu samples to teens, sending them upstairs to Sephora on Level 2 to start their first indu haul.
It was also our first collaboration in Australia, making it extra special to see the response from Sydney teens.

Does your teen know about indu yet? You can shop online or find us at your nearest Sephora store - now in 12 stores across the UK and 38 in ANZ. We’d be adding our Universal Soft-Cream Moisturiser, Cleansing Pads and pH Lip Oil to our basket…

Want to get involved? Your teen can sign up to join our community for exclusive polls, product development opportunities, events and more, only on TYB:

indu is approved by parents!

If you needed any proof that indu formulas really do the work for teen skin, don’t just take our word for it – real parents are showing us love, talking real results!

It means so much to us that parents take the time to leave reviews about our products. We love hearing how much your teens love them.

Reviews to use in montage:

“Bought this for my 12-year-old Grandson who is already having skin problems. After trying other products he really likes using this and it is clearly making a difference to his skin. We're all delighted. Thank you indu.” Marj, indu customer

“Bought for my three teens, they all love it and their skin looks amazing. They have all said it feels light and leaves their skin feeling fresh and comfortable.” Susanna, indu customer

“My granddaughter is 10 with acne bless her and we have been using this and the moisturiser and it's working it's not a miracle cure but it is helping” Raylene, indu customer

“Bought this for my 13-year-old son and he likes knowing it's just for him. It's a gentle, effective cleanser and has helped him get into a healthy skincare routine.” Sarah, indu customer

Confidence is such a hot topic in teen years – especially when it comes to skin, and its everchanging phases.

For parents, it’s not about fixing it. We’ve all been there and now that it’s a battle we all face. For teens, focus on support – it’s so normal to have textured skin, spots, dryness and more, in the teenage years and beyond. We know that spots in particular can really knock confidence, for both boys and girls.

There are so many factors that contribute, from diet to stress. Offering them the right skincare to help restore balance gets teens well on their way to building confidence.

Some tips from someone who suffered with acne as a teen:

"For any teens or anyone struggling with their skin, I would love to tell them they are beautiful! Everyone is unique and that’s so beautiful. Remember what we see online isn’t always real. Find some inspirational Instagram pages! Lots of people show ‘what they post’ vs ‘real life’ videos and they are so inspiring. It’s a huge eye opener to never compare!"

We’re always finding new ways to champion the next generation of teen talent – and these teens truly deserve the spotlight!

Seven rising teen artists hit the stage at our IRL event – The Hangout – earlier this week. We gave them the mic and a platform to do their thing, in front of a buzzing teen audience. Our incredible lineup included two members of our community – Belle Kumble-Rose and Molly Naa, along with 5 recent alumni of The BRIT School, spanning a range of genres, from R&B to Indie. Shoutout to Cindy B, Esence, Kynda and Euan, plus Aaron, who was our resident in-Hangout DJ!

Each and every performer gave it their all, and our teen guests (and the indu team!) loved every minute. We hope this serves as inspiration to empower teens like yours to pursue their talents in the arts!

We know there are great things coming for them all – watch this space!

lil round up of indu The Hangout🏡🪩⭐️💚

CAN WE DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN PLEASE!!!!

17/02/2026

Well, The Hangout blew all expectations away! ✨

Hundreds of teens joined us yesterday at Little Violet Door in London’s Soho, to take part in the indu event of the year! We had queues down the street to enter, complete with:

Skincare masterclasses. Live music. DJs. Candy floss. A photobooth. Bedazzled Tangle Teezers. Karaoke. Fazit glitter freckles. Perfect Ted matcha. And so much more!

There was a real buzz in the venue from the minute we opened the doors – it was amazing to see every single teen enjoying their time, trying new things, making new friends and experiencing indu first hand. All while listening to incredible live performances from up-and-coming artists in our community and alumni from The BRIT School! We’d call that a BIG success! 🙌

We’re always supporting teen ideas and talent – and we found new ways at The Hangout. Our community of teens was involved in all the elements of the planning and ex*****on process – from workshopping ideas to modelling on the campaign shoot – they even suggested we provide noise cancelling headphones for neurodiverse guests, for a more inclusive experience for all. So we did!

We’ve had incredible feedback from teens so far, and the reviews keep on coming. It’s proof that having our community involved at every stage really does WORK. We’re proud to be amplifying teen voices in every way, as we continue to build the indu community and share our knowledge on safe and suitable skincare for teens.

This one’s going to be hard to beat, but we won’t stop till we’ve spread the indu word far and wide. Where to next?

No scripts, no products, no pretending. Just honest conversations with real teens (just like yours) about confidence and pressure.

We sat down with our community to ask the questions that often go unheard. Teens like yours have a voice & their feelings are VERY real, even if sometimes they don’t feel like they’re listened to, or taken seriously. We’re here to say: we’re listening 💚

We asked: “When do you feel most confident?”
We are always speaking to real teens about their thoughts, feelings and opinions behind the scenes, but those conversations are hardly ever revealed.

Everyone in this video has been a part of the indu journey. Teens who have made meaningful contributions to our community. We’ve given them the stage to speak up, in the hopes that other teens (and their parents) will see and feel less alone, more inspired and most importantly, heard.

Teens have a voice, and we’re always listening. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to tell your teen and their friends about The Hangout – our event in central London on Monday 16th February. They can sign up to the guestlist to secure their spot, before they’re all gone!
