Sometimes the hardest part isn’t recognising that you’re depleted.
It’s admitting that you need something too.
As mothers, we become very good at carrying on, answering “I’m fine” and moving straight to the next thing. But needing rest, nourishment or support does not make us less capable. It simply means our needs matter as well.
What is one thing you need more of right now: rest, space, nourishment, practical help or simply to be asked how you are?
Leave one word below. You may help another mother feel less alone.
Save this for the days you forget, or share it with a mother who gives so much of herself.

✨ PURE COLLAGEN PEPTIDES ✨ COMING SOON
Collagen peptides have been on my kitchen bench through both my pregnancies, and postpartum seasons. They've always been my easy bit of structural protein and amino acids in the morning and I can't wait to share this daily ritual with you.

I knew having a baby would change my life, but I don’t think I understood how much it would change the way I felt in myself.
The responsibility.
The mental load.
The way your needs can become very quiet.
The way your old routines suddenly feel far away.
I don’t think mothers need to be told this to make it feel heavier but so we can understand that we don’t lose who we were.
And maybe there’s something really beautiful in that, too 🤍
Did anyone talk to you about this part of becoming a mother?

Motherhood can blur the line between “normal tired” and genuinely depleted.
Pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, blood loss, broken sleep and the constant output of caring for others can all increase the demand on your body.
And sometimes the signs are subtle: deep fatigue, dizziness, brittle nails, low mood, constant cravings, slow recovery, or simply feeling like you have nothing left.
Nutritional depletion isn’t only about vitamins and minerals. Many mothers may also be under-eating protein, which means fewer amino acids, the building blocks your body uses for repair, muscle, skin, tissue, immune function and recovery.
These signs don’t automatically mean you are deficient, but they are worth paying attention to. If something feels off, book in with your healthcare provider and ask whether a blood panel is appropriate. Depending on your situation, they may check things like:
Full blood count, ferritin, iron studies, B12, folate, vitamin D, thyroid markers, zinc, magnesium and inflammation markers.
A blood panel can help identify common nutrient gaps, while a practitioner can also assess whether you’re eating enough protein, calories and key nutrients for your stage of motherhood.
You shouldn’t have to guess your way through depletion in motherhood 💚

There’s a reason beef liver is often called nature’s multivitamin.
It is one of the most nutrient-dense wholefoods, naturally containing haem iron, B vitamins, vitamin A, choline, copper and folate.
For mothers, this kind of nourishment can feel foundational, simple, traditional and supportive of everyday nutritional intake.

I’ve had a lot on my plate lately.
Sickness, full days, broken sleep, and all the little things that somehow keep being added.
So I’m making a conscious effort to notice what I can gently let go of.
Motherhood is full enough without carrying the things that quietly make it heavier.
A small reminder: not everything deserves a place on your plate.

Sleep in motherhood is not always simple.
I’ve spent the last week sleeping upright, holding a sick bub through the night.
These are the small shifts I’ve been experimenting with to optimise what little sleep I have been getting. For me, it's about quality over quantity in this season of motherhood.

Here the silence meant a lovely new pen design on a bedroom door and a quiet unravelling of my straw basket.
What has the silence meant in your house? 😇

Not all nutrients are delivered in the same form.
The source, structure and food matrix can influence how nutrients are absorbed and used by the body.
We choose wholefood ingredients because nourishment doesn’t have to come from isolated synthetics alone.
Every mother is different, and so are her needs. This is general information only, chat with your trusted healthcare professional about what’s right for you.
