From a very young age I started taking photos with my parent’s film camera, I loved to capture beautiful images, especially of people.
I would always be photographing my family and random objects around the house or garden...
Growing up my parents were very hard working but we weren’t well off, so I would feel very guilty for wasting money, when it came time for my parents to develop the photos I would hold my breath because GOD knows what kinda ARTSY photos I took that looked like a heap of blurry mess!
I always have admired high end publications OR I would go on to try recreate these images imagining my work will be seen in these magazines 🤣🤣🤣.
I soon realised there was so much work involved to create an image.... Wardrobe, Makeup, Hair, Camera. so I would sit my poor younger sister down and do something with her hair, steal some of my mum’s and put it on her face and wrap her up in a piece of fabric and hold it in place with a safety pin and sneak out Mum’s biggest most “European Winter 1997” coats and put them on my then 3years old sister.... then I would teach her how to pose 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wanted to do it all, minus the modelling part!! Well fast forward 23years and occasionally I still relive this fantasy to try do everything myself, still using and ... and this year I have had / and will have my work featured in these publications🙏❤️ it’s taken some time but when you set an intention it will happen sooner or later. @ Sydney Olympic Park
