🍑 Buccal fat: the pocket that diet and cardio can't touch 🍑

"How do I lose the fat in my cheeks?" For many people, the honest answer is: you can't train or diet it away. Buccal fat pad sits deep in the cheek, cushioning the muscles you chew and speak with. It's structural, not lifestyle-related, and traditional liposuction can't safely reach it either.

Removing it is a genuinely delicate procedure; the fat pad sits right beside branches of the facial nerve, so precision and sound anatomical knowledge are essential. ⚠️

It's also not right for everyone. As we age, faces naturally lose volume, so removing more in someone already heading that way can age the face rather than refine it. And here's a useful clue: if your cheek fullness has changed noticeably with age, that's usually natural volume loss elsewhere in the face; not buccal fat, which stays fairly stable over time. I often see patients convinced they need "face liposuction" when what they're describing is simply this ageing process.

The right answer always starts with a proper assessment of your anatomy and where you sit on that ageing curve. 💬

Disclaimer: Individual results may vary and depend on factors such as age, health, weight, hormones, and lifestyle. It’s important to note that surgical and invasive procedures entail inherent uncertainties and risks. The outcomes attained are not of a permanent nature and will naturally evolve alongside your body’s changes over time.

✨ The quiet hero of post-treatment recovery ✨

Ever wondered why we reach for SkinCeuticals Epidermal Repair after laser, peels or microneedling? Here's the science 👇
Compromised, sensitised skin needs more than a basic moisturiser — it needs targeted support. Epidermal Repair delivers it with two hero actives:

🔹 Beta-glucan — helps accelerate the skin's natural barrier repair and cell renewal
🔹 Centella Asiatica (cica) — a time-honoured botanical that calms inflammation and visibly softens redness

Rounded out with gentle anti-irritants (sodium palmitoyl proline + white water lily extract), it's a lightweight, beautifully elegant cream that comforts skin exactly when it's most vulnerable.

Clinically shown to diminish the appearance of redness and soothe irritated skin — and trusted on dermatology shelves for over 20 years. That's why it's part of how we care for your skin after treatment. 💧

Ask our team whether Epidermal Repair belongs in your recovery routine.

Round vs anatomical implants: why the decision is dimensional, not aesthetic

A question I field often in consultation

Round and anatomical (teardrop) implants differ in how they distribute volume. Round implants provide uniform projection across the breast, including the upper pole — well suited to a fuller, more augmented aesthetic, and because the implant is symmetric, rotation carries no visible consequence.

Anatomical implants are engineered with graduated volume; greater projection inferiorly, tapering superiorly to replicate the natural slope of an unaugmented breast, often producing a more understated result in patients with minimal native volume. The trade-off: because shape is directional, rotation within the pocket is cosmetically significant, which is why device selection and pocket precision carry more weight with this class.

Neither shape is inherently superior: the literature doesn't support that claim, and I wouldn't either. The decision should be dimensional, not preferential. Patients considering augmentation are welcome to book a consultation to discuss what the dimensional assessment suggests for their anatomy and goals.

When it comes to treating fine lines and wrinkles, how your treatment is planned matters just as much as the treatment itself; and that's where we do things differently.

Every consultation is doctor-led, meaning you're assessed and guided by Dr Supra himself, not just handed over to a treatment room after a quick chat. We also don't rush this process — an unhurried consultation gives us the time to properly understand your concerns, talk through your options, and build a plan that's genuinely right for you, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

All treatments we offer are TGA-approved, delivered with hospital-grade standards of care from start to finish, so you can feel confident you're in safe, experienced hands throughout.

And most importantly: everything is personalised. No two faces, or goals, are the same, so your plan shouldn't be either.

If you're looking for a considered, doctor-led approach to treating fine lines and wrinkles, we'd love to see you in for a consultation. ✨

Morpheus8: what it can (and can't) do ✨

Let's talk honestly about Morpheus8 because realistic expectations matter.
It's a fractional radiofrequency (RF) microneedling treatment: fine needles deliver RF energy beneath the skin to stimulate collagen and tighten from within. 💠

✅ What it does well:

Improves skin texture & tone
Firms mild–moderate laxity
Softens acne scarring & enlarged pores
Works on both face & body

⚠️ What it can't do:
If you have excessive loose skin say, on the tummy or arms after weight loss or pregnancy —Morpheus8 (like any energy-based device) won't fully tighten it. Significant skin excess needs a surgical solution, not a device and no device on the market truly fixes severe laxity. Anyone promising otherwise isn't being straight with you. 🌿

The right treatment always starts with an honest assessment of your skin.

Do you wake up with a sore jaw or frequent morning headaches? It might not just be stress.

Bruxism—unconscious teeth grinding or jaw clenching—is more common than many people realise. Left untreated, it can contribute to jaw pain, worn teeth, headaches, facial tension, and even changes in the shape of your jaw muscles over time.

The good news? Early assessment can help identify the cause and guide you toward the most appropriate treatment, protecting both your smile and your long-term oral health.

Swipe through to learn the common signs of bruxism and why it's important not to ignore them. Contact us via dm, or booking link in bio.
