I recently splurged on a couple of products from OneSkin, a treat I often allow myself around my birthday, especially for items I've been eyeing for a while. I'm particularly interested in seeing if the OS-01 Face Moisturizer can help address some persistent hyperpigmentation marks on my cheek. These marks haven't fully responded to topical treatments or shown improvement from a Q-switch laser treatment I had about a year ago.
OneSkin utilizes a proprietary peptide designed to assist DNA in repairing cells, thereby preventing them from becoming senescent cells, also known as "zombie cells." These cells no longer divide and do not undergo natural cell death, which can contribute to an aged appearance of the skin.
By mitigating the accumulation of new senescent cells, the epidermis is encouraged to thicken through the replication of younger, healthier cells, and collagen production is enhanced.
It's a light cream, so it's perfect for summer or warmer weather. I was also curious about the body moisturizer, but since I didn't want to buy a full-size product, I snagged the three sample size products, including the body moisturizer, cleanser, and eye cream.
The Lip SPF sounded like another great product to try. It only gives a subtle hint of colour when you put it on and feels quite emollient.
I'm excited to see how my skin looks in the next month or so. Have you tried OneSkin before?

Marking another trip around the sun with a delicious Japanese meal, followed by the viral hazelnut cake. 🎂
Wondering how to get the right dose out of the dropper? The Reset Serum has a pretty thick consistency so here's a tip.

The internet made me try these two Azelaic Acid formulas that are always trending! The Anua one was lovely and gentle, and I'm finally getting around to trying the Finacea I picked up from the chemist a while ago.

Finally finished my first bottle of Eucerin's Anti-Pigment Dual Serum. You can't buy this in Australia so I stocked up on two more at the time. As I mentioned previously, there's quite a strong scent to this one but I don't mind it at all. It's a nice lotion with no irritation. Just one in a cocktail of products to deal with my hyperpigmentation and melasma. I've opened the second one already.
Have you tried Thiaidol before?

Down to the last bit of Paula's Choice 25% Vitamin C + Glutathione Clinical Serum. I remember thinking they sent me a travel size by mistake but I was wrong.
It's a nice serum using THD-A and Ascorbyl Glucoside so less irritating for sensitive skin. The scent reminds me of an old rubber doll I had as a kid though.

It's a slow process using up some older PR and adding some new products to my various routines. Here are my latest empties.
's Vitamin C Complex Serum contains Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate which is great for acne-prone skin and a gentler form of L-Ascorbic Acid (Kakadu Plum), making it ideal for those who prefer a less irritaing form of Vit C in a lighter formulation. The jumbo size also lasts forever, but I still prefer Vit C lotions over serums.
Future Renew Repair Serum is a gentle, medium-weight option that kept my skin plump without any irritation. It didn't have any fragrance which I appreciate.
Oxygen-C Hydrating Vitamin C toner had a potent fragrance, which I utilized as a body spritz to cool my body down in the middle of the night.
Rose Hip Oil Elixir had a strong rose scent that lasted a while and quite overpowering. However, it did leave my mid to ends pretty silky.
Have you heard the news? Rodan + Fields' Micro-Dermabrasion Paste is back in Australia. This beautiful salt and sugar scrub gently exfoliates both the face and body, revealing smoother, more radiant skin.
Latest Empties
I wasn't expecting to finish so many products at once, but here we are.
Active Hydration Serum feels like silk and goes on before my other skincare ingredients. I use this mainly at night this time of year.
Redefine Triple Defense Cream with SPF us one of my absolute favourite products from the brand. It's a beautiful formulation combining anti-ageing and sunscreen in one.
Targeted Dark Spot Corrector has a nice formulation. This has been discontinued.
Active Hydration Body Replenish is a beautiful moisturiser with glycerin and hyaluronic acid. It goes on like a dream. Isn't too heavy and absorbs well. If you love AHS, you'll love this.
Brighten X - This was my first time using a foam treatment. Packed with tyrosinase inhibitors, which is just what I need for stubborn pigmentation.
Check out my bio link if you're interested in any of these products at a great discount.
