From London to Sydney

People Hairdressing was established in 2004 by Founder and Director Hamish Glianos. Hamish trained in London at the esteemed Mayfair salon Mahogany Hairdressing. Mahogany are and industry favourite known for their technical approach to cut and colour and Hamish had worked through the ranks to become an Artistic Director where he was responsible for training and development of the salon team.

The decision was made to return to Australia to open the very first Mahogany Franchise which was in this very location in Potts Point. This location was chosen for its vibrancy and eclectic clientele base. In 2009 Hamish re-branded the salon and “People Hairdressing” was born.

The salon has developed a strong Australian Hairdressing industry reputation for precision cutting and colour work and it is through our dedication to education and high salon standards that People Hairdressing has produced some of Sydney’s top hair stylists and colour technicians. We are known our hair makeovers, colour corrections, treatment services and of course precision cutting techniques. The salon team are friendly, approachable and down to earth and you are always welcomed with a warm greeting and sense of belonging.
