Hello Sunday 🧡 it is always a good decision to walk on the beach:) today I took my breakfast along and sat and watched the waves and the people after my walk.
My health goal today was to work on my foot strength by walking barefoot, I haven’t walked on the beach for a couple of weeks and I’ve really missed it.
It’s a beautiful day out there, hope you get to enjoy a beach or a bush walk too!
Currently, I’m taking bookings until mid December and I’ve just started taking mid January bookings too. My start date for 2027 is 14 Jan. Please message me if you’d like to book ahead.

Happy Friday! It’s been a busy week but I have managed to finish one of my favourite books ever, here is the review.
Earlier this week, Jayson asked me if I was actually enjoying my book, as I seem to be reading it very slowly 😂
I told him I’m absolutely loving it, but the subject matter is often difficult and heartbreaking, and it’s one of those books that’s so good you need to take your time and really absorb it.
This might just be my favourite Michael Robotham book yet. I love that it is set in Australia (according to the SMH, I’ll post the article in the comments, this book was originally rejected by publishers years ago because of this very fact). It explores life in a small town, and is the story of Arlo who emerges from an 12 year prison sentence, coming back to the town that has never forgiven him. The characters feel so real, and amongst the heartbreak there are also some truly heartwarming moments. A definite 5 ⭐️read for me!
And a fun little coincidence… I share the same birthday (day and month) as one of the main female characters:)
If you haven’t read it yet, definitely added to your reading list. If you have read it what did you think?

Brightening up the massage studio today❤️❤️
Super grateful that October is literally booked up, subject to cancellations (let me know if you’d like a cancellation spot). First week of November only has one spot available on Tuesday the third (9:15/9:30), please text if you want the spot - only if you’ve been to me before please.
If you’d like to book an appointment for November, the afternoons are already almost fully booked but there are a number of morning appointments still available (nine-ish or 11-ish).
If you need to cancel, I need to know as soon as possible so that I can help another client . It is almost impossible to fill the spot on the day or the day before so that if you need to cancel, try and give me as much notice as you can (bearing in mind that sickness does happen)
❤️❤️🧡

Tuesday thoughts?…Do you know Massage Therapists actually need to be pretty good at maths?
We are constantly doing “massage math"- eg :
“ left shoulder started at 1:05 and we need to end by 2pm but she has a complaint on her right hip so I need to allocate at least 30min for that and then...”
If you have a particular problem that you want to focus on, please let me know at the beginning of the session so I can “plan”… if you just want general you can just let me know that too and I’ll figure it out:)
Hope everyone had a lovely long weekend!

Happy world habitat day 2026!
Here are some of my favourite photos from my walk yesterday through the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden - I love that I live so close to the bush and the beautiful wild flower garden is less than a couple of kilometres away.
It’s a beautiful cool public holiday today and definitely worth getting out for a walk in nature if you can:)

Sometimes you have to eat the cheesecake!!
Delicious pistachio cheesecake at Kirribilli Markets might be the best we’ve ever had:-)
And a lovely walk across the bridge and lime bike back to make the most of a sparkling Sydney day.
Happy long weekend Sunday 💚💗

Happy Friday long weekend!!
It’s been an awesome week with a wonderful long list of clients booked in - so many of you are friends too and lots of interesting conversations.
I’m happy to say my long weekend is sorted with the arrival of Michael Robothams latest novel, “Tell Me Something True”. In fact, the timing was perfect as it was delivered just before my final client of the week. Has anyone read this book yet or are you planning to do so? Any fantastic reading recommendations for after I finish this one would also be appreciated:)
October is pretty much booked up, thank you to everyone booked in, but cancellations do happen and so if you’d like a waitlist spot before 27 October please let me know otherwise taking appointments from 28 October onwards.
Very grateful thank you for everyone’s continued support.

My 13th membership year!
Another year as a member of the Association of Massage Therapists- I’m going to re-share my words from a few years ago with a few changes as what I said in 2021 still applies today.
In an unregulated industry, I’m happy to be a member of the professional body, the Association of Massage Therapists since 2014. I have always valued their insight and guidance . They have held the highest ethical standards and support for their members for which I’m incredibly grateful.
As I member I
* do a min of 20 hours a year continuing education
* am fully insured and have a current first aid certificate - I’m super grateful for this
* have a practice number (am covered for some health funds but not all)
* respect a clients privacy
* follow a Code of Practice
* follow health and safety guidelines
Thanks so much AMT for helping me maintaining the highest ethical standards and helping me to feel like I am more than just a loner out there on her own working in a studio in her garden. I’m part of something bigger . If anyone is looking for a Massage Therapist in Australia, one can go onto the AMT website and do a search for a local Therapist in their area.
Here is to the next year of practice and continuing learning.

Tuesday thoughts… once we get over 50 it’s guaranteed that we’re going need some reading glasses and today was a happy day for me as I collected a new set which are not scratched or oily and so my vision is as sharp as it can be!
Another thing that we need to keep sharp as we get older, is our hearing. Having done a course in Preventing Dementia, studies show that hearing loss is linked with age related cognitive decline. Making sure our hearing is clear is one of the modifiable dementia risks.
So my Optometrist, Amanda Macknight EyeQ Optometrists St Ives - is promoting these amazing looking glasses (a picture of the pamphlet is in the photos below. )I get no kickback at all but as you know I am into health and wellness and so I’m just giving them a shout out for anyone who might be interested in getting a set of glasses that help with their hearing at the same time. I’ve taken a bunch of pamphlets and they are available in the Massage studio.
(obviously thinking my hearing is perfect. I did try them out and yes, I could notice a difference:))
When last did you get your eyes and hearing tested?
Diesel has mentioned that his hearing is sharp as ever and he can hear the fridge door opening if he is lying on the bed

Monday mindfulness 💜 Just a little reminder that your massage can be whatever you need it to be.
Yes, you can keep your socks on.
Yes, you can ask for lighter pressure.
Yes, you can chat about what’s been going on, or you can have complete quiet.
Yes, you can fall asleep.
Yes, you can ask for an extra blanket if you’re cold.
Yes, we can finish with a slow head or foot or hand massage.
Yes, you can take your time getting up at the end.
There’s no right or wrong way to have a treatment. It’s your time, and I want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and listened to.
Just let me know what you need on the day… even if last time you wanted to chat does not mean I should ever assume that you want to chat this time:-)
