13 years of 18bones ❤️💈

Running a small business for 13 years in such a wonderful community is something we’ll never take for granted.

Over the years, we’ve watched kids grow up in our chairs, celebrated new babies and new chapters, shared countless stories and laughs, and sadly, we’ve also said goodbye to some much-loved customers who have grown their wings. 🕊️

When we opened Legends Barbershop (now 18bones) 13 years ago, one of our biggest goals was to create more than just a barbershop. We wanted it to be a place where skills were shared, young barbers were given opportunities, and the next generation could learn a craft and build a future.

Thirteen years later, that hasn’t changed.

We’re incredibly proud to continue welcoming new talent into 18bones — passing on knowledge, encouraging individuality and watching the next generation of barbers find their feet and make their mark.

Thank you to our community for supporting our little business, trusting us with your families and growing alongside us for the past 13 years.

It's almost go time! This Saturday evening I'll be in conversation with the owner of 18 Bones Barber Shop @brucehathcockmusic. We'll be discussing the history of Black barber shops and their contemporary purpose, the art of storytelling, and I'll have a few copies to sell of #StolenManOnStolenLand I can also sign your copy! It's Saturday 11 July from 7-8pm at 18 Bones Barber Shop across from the train station.
