Supervised Visits it's about creating a safe, structured environment where children can maintain important family relationships while their wellbeing remains the priority.

Successfull Supervised Visits isn't just measured by whether a child smiles at the end of a visit. It's also measured by what parents achieve behind the scene:

✔ Addressing alcohol or drug concerns
✔ Developing healthier communication skills
✔ Demonstrating consistency and reliability
✔ Taking accountability and making positive changes

When adults grow, children benefit.

Because every child deserves safe, meaningful relationships with the important people in their lives.

Kids have a wonderful way of showing trust, appreciation, and connection for the care and warmth we provide during supervised visits. It’s the tiny moments like this that make me smile and remind me why the work is so important & rewarding 💜

It’s especially wonderful to see families progress to unsupervised time, knowing we were able to guide and support them along that journey. We put a lot of care into making every visit run smoothly and feel calm, safe and positive and feedback like this really speaks volumes. Grateful to do work that genuinely makes a difference 🩷

🌟 10 Years of Children in Focus 🌟

🧸Ten years ago, I took a leap of faith into a purpose-led mission, into myself, and into the Lord above.

That leap became Children in Focus👩‍👦

💝My calling was simple but powerful: to help children reunite with their families quickly and safely.

🎯I’m proud to say we’ve kept that promise. For 10 years, families have been able to start supervised visits within just one week.

🫂Along the way, we’ve seen countless hugs, tears, and smiles, each one a reminder of why this work matters.

💔This field isn’t easy. It takes a huge heart, deep compassion… or maybe just a little bit of madness (probably both in my case 😅). But when a parent says, “Thank you for listening, thank you for helping us reunite” - it makes every challenge worth it.

🙂For me, success isn’t numbers or titles, it’s the people we’ve helped and the smiles on children’s faces. That’s the true reward.

🌸 Power Lunch with Powerhouse Women! 🌸

I had the pleasure of attending an absolutely fabulous Women in Law & Business lunch the other day. It was so inspiring to be surrounded by legends in family law and business—women who’ve seen it all, done it all, and shared how to pivot when life calls for a change.

Their stories really hit home.

About 10 years ago, I did my own pivot. After 7 years happily practicing law (yes, I thought I’d be a lawyer forever!), I felt the pull to do something different. So, I followed my calling—and my passion—to help kids stay connected with their parents in a safe, supportive way. That’s when I leapt into the world of Family Supervised Contact, and I haven’t looked back since.

It’s been a journey of heart, hard work, and a few “what was I thinking?!” moments—but every day reminds me why I made the switch.

A huge thank you to the organisers for bringing such an inspiring group together.
