After 16 amazing years I have made the decision to close my current salon space and build something new. On the 30th of may will be closing and I will be reopening as the artistry.by.Leigh in a beautiful studio . Rebranding and building something new and having more time for my family and getting back to educating up and coming hairdressers is something that I have been looking forward to for a long time. Today marks a very special day for me. Thirty years ago today I embarked on a journey that I never thought I would stick to or be remotely good at it , I was desperate to leave school and needed a career, so I said to my father I would work in his salon , he gave me a 3 month trial and I never looked back. In those thirty years of being in this remarkable industry I had won over 40 awards from pan pacific champion stylist and winning the champion of champions hair expo award two years in a row , I have done countless shows and judged at hair expo. Worked along side some incredible industry mentors and had the pleasure of educating hairdressers that have come after me . Working at my parents salons for 15 years before heading out on my own and running a successful buisness for 15 years now . I am so thankful everyday to all my clients to trust in me with not only your hair but your stories. I would like to especially thank my beautiful parents and for believing in me and pushing me to be the best I can be . And my husband for making me believe in myself and never giving up . To my two amazing children, thank you for your patience when I’m not present in my busy times , one day you will know I did it all for you .
