Late night microdermabrasion treatment ✨ little bit of self care for hump day✨ Microdermabrasion is a great ‘pick me up treatment’ for anyone wanting to freshen up their skin, get a good clean and boost of hydration. Microdermabrasion is also an amazing treatment for any surface congestion as it is exfoliating and removing all the dead skin cell build up. I recommend a microdermabrasion every 2-4 weeks to maintain your skins healthy glow 💫

A super simple breakdown of why it is important to invest and take care of your skin. Your skin is your biggest organ and requires the same attention as what you give to your internal organs to retain optimal health.
Once we hit our mid twenties the production of collagen in our skin slows down and continues to as we age, the production of collagen is the base for a healthy skin. Collagen is the foundation for your skins healing process, elasticity and hydration. Your skin is similar to a snake, and while we’re young has a fast 28 day skin cell turn over, which again, slows down with age. This means our skin looses its ability the produce collagen unless you do so by looking after it appropriately.
We have all heard a million times that we need to be applying SPF daily but I don’t think we grasp just how important it is. Our skin is constantly exposed to sun, pollution and blue light (the lights behind our phones, computers etc) which, YES, is damaging to our skin as well. These inevitable exposures are what cause free radical damage. Now, what is free radical damage? It is when atoms are taken away from the molecule in the skin, it causes damage to our DNA that speeds up how fast we age.
With an overwhelming choice of skin care products on the market it can become confusing as to what we actually need, and it is different for everyone based on their skin type and concerns. As a general guide I have listed the main products EVERYONE should have.
• Cleanser- ensure you ALWAYS double cleanse the skin to ensure the skin is properly rid of make up, toxins etc
• Exfoliant
• Serum- what kind dependant on your skin concerns and how knowledgeable you are about active ingredients. Serums are your correctors and they can be layered. If you are new to skin I don’t recommend having any more than 2 serums. Hylaronic acid, vitamin c/ antioxidant and retinol (vitamin A) are a great place to start.
• Moisturiser- even if you have an oilyer skin type it is important to find a moisturiser that will balance your sebaceous glands.
• SPF- the best way to apply SPF to avoid a thick white film is to rub a pea size amount in your fingers and press into the skin.
