Kristy Snape Makeup

Kristy Snape has been working as a freelance makeup artist & hair stylist in the entertainment industry in Sydney for 18 years. She started out working for the Australian Opera on Baz Luhrmann’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. That progressed into television, and a part time job at SBS led to a full time job at Channel 9. After four years at Nine, she left to persue career opportunities in London. Upon returning home, her career really took off as a freelance makeup artist, working on events like the ARIA Awards, TropFest, Carols in the Domain, and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. She also flies to Melbourne regularly to work on the Logies. She has worked as a teacher for the Napoleon Perdis Makeup Academy, and worked with the Napoleon team at Melbourne and Sydney Fashion Weeks. A career highlight was doing makeup for the Opening & Closing Ceremonies at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. She has been requested to work with celebrities like Tom Cruise, David Duchovney, Jodie Foster, Heath Ledger & Kirstin Davis, to name a few. Musically, she has worked with Groove Terminator, Kid Courageous, Tania Kernaghan, Felicity Urquhart, Amber Lawrence, Kirsty Lee Akers. Kristy’s advertising work has included campaigns for NineMSN, Magnum Ice Creams, Maxum Watches, Virgin Insurance, and Microsoft Windows Vista, among others. TV Series - Four Weddings

Kristy primarily works for production companies within television and on commercials. She has worked on the “What’s New” brand commercials for Australia, France, the United States, and South America. She has done hair and makeup for Plush, Blackmore’s, Dairy Farmers & Palmolive commercials, among others. Recent television credits include Better Homes & Gardens, Beauty & The Geek, and Marry My Boy. Kristy has been doing weddings since she started doing makeup, and has had the pleasure of doing hundreds of brides on their wedding day. She gets excited by the details, and loves every aspect of a wedding, having been married herself only 2 years ago. She is happy to work with you to achieve the perfect look for your special day
