Going on and off maternity leave back to back made me feel like I kept losing my rhythm and coming back each time, the industry felt different. Social media had changed so much — suddenly it wasn’t just about the work, it was about putting yourself out there, showing your face, sharing your life, and constantly connecting online. If I’m honest, that part felt really uncomfortable for me.
Then there were the early starts after long nights with the kids, missing family events, and the pressure of expectations that can sometimes feel unrealistic. I found myself wondering… is this something I still want to do?
But every time a client looks in the mirror and their face lights up with confidence, happiness, and self-love, I’m reminded why I love this job so much. Being part of that moment, knowing I helped someone feel like the best version of themselves, is a feeling that never gets old.
It’s the reason I’m still here. And the connections I’ve built with the women who sit in my chair have become some of the most meaningful and memorable parts of my journey.
