If you’re a curly and you’ve heard that oil is a no go for your hair, we are here to explain why our Curl Oil is 100% CG Approved and safe to use on your curls! 💜

Some oils (such as coconut oil) are comedogenic and coat the hair and skin forming a barrier, making it difficult for water to pe*****te that barrier, and can lead to build up and / or congestion over time.
The naturally derived oils contained in Clever Curl Curl Oil all act as non-comedogenic oils, meaning they mimic the natural oils produced by the skin and scalp and are water soluble. These natural lipids easily pe*****te the skin’s barrier and the hair cuticle layer to provide moisture and nourishment without coating it or building up on the surface.
As the oils contained in the Clever Curl Curl Oil formula are non-comedogenic, the hair and skin will absorb what is needed and any excess can easily be washed out of the hair using a cleanser or low lather shampoo.

The Clever Curl Gels both contain very clever formulas that help curls to be their best in particular climates. However, these gels will work for different hair and curl types too!

Dry Weather Gel – This gel contains humectant properties that help attract further moisture to textured hair in between wash days. This means that it works wonders in a dry climate! Not only is the gel great for those cold winter days or a dry climate in general, it is also perfect for anyone who:

- Is just starting on their curl journey and needs lots of moisture and hydration
- Colours or lightens their hair frequently
- Swims in the ocean or pool. Great for swimmers and surfers!
- Curls behave best when there is humidity in the air

Humid Weather Clever Gel – This gel contains anti humectant properties that help seal in moisture and protect textured hair from humidity in the air. It also works well for anyone who has happy, healthy hydrated curls and doesn't require extra moisture. This gel is perfect for anyone who:

- Has been following the curly girl method for a while and has happy, healthy and hydrated curls
- Anyone that lives in a humid climate
- Curls behave best in a dry, humidity free environment
