Confessions of a Massage Therapist… 🤭

Massage is usually all calm music and flowing movements. Usually.

One session, a stone tucked between someone’s toes suddenly PINGED across the room, bouncing on my bamboo floorboards. Apparently it had somewhere else to be. 🪨💨

Then there was the hot towel. My client sat bolt upright like they’d risen from the dead and launched it at the wall. I checked they were okay, then tried to find my calm therapist face again. 😂

Note to self: stones belong on feet. Towels belong nowhere near the wall.

No two sessions are ever quite the same at SoulSense! 💗

I love a nap. But sometimes, even as I lie down, my mind starts listing everything I should be doing. Sound familiar?

Having a nap isn’t lazy. It’s giving yourself time to stop and breathe. The to-do list will still be there when you wake up—I’ve checked. 😂

A massage can give you that same pause: time to breathe, release what you’ve been holding and let yourself be cared for. 💆‍♀️✨

My confession- I don't often give myself permission to rest. I just go go go... It no longer serves me.

When was the last time you gave yourself permission to rest, rather than feeling you had to justify it? 💗

One of the hardest things about KaHuna is trying to explain what it is...

Without taking away the magic of what it feels like.

I can tell you it is flowing bodywork.
I can tell you it uses long, rhythmic movements.
I can tell you it works with the whole body, not just one tight spot.

But that still doesn’t really explain KaHuna.

Because KaHuna is something you feel.

It is the moment your body stops bracing.
