Last week we where learning all day at the Beyond the Barrier Conference in Sydney and here is why we never stop learning about skin...
The skincare industry is always changing.
New ingredients. New formulations. New technology. New treatments. New trends promising to be the next big thing.
And yes, we want to know about them.
But here’s the thing…
The fundamental way your skin is structured and what it needs to function well hasn’t suddenly changed.
And that’s where our approach to skin at Glow begins. For more than 10 years, corneotherapy has shaped the way we understand and treat skin, looking beyond what we can simply see on the surface and asking why your skin is behaving the way it is.
Because education, for us, isn’t about collecting the latest machines or jumping onto every new trend. It’s about understanding the science of skin so deeply that we can interpret what is happening within your skin.
What is affecting its barrier.
What might be driving inflammation.
Why it may be struggling to retain water.
Why pigmentation keeps returning.
Why breakouts are occurring.

Last night was the Australian Beauty Industry Awards, the ABIA's.
And while we didn’t come home with the trophy, we came home incredibly proud.
This year, one of my biggest goals was for Glow to be recognised on a national level for something that sits right at the heart of who we are, Customer Care.
To be named a finalist amongst incredible businesses from across Australia and New Zealand was already a win for us.
Because customer care at Glow has never just been about providing a beautiful treatment.
It’s about how you feel when you walk through our doors. Feeling seen. Feeling heard. Feeling valued.
Feeling comfortable enough to ask questions.
Feeling supported throughout your skin journey and knowing that there are people genuinely in your corner.
That recognition belongs to our beautiful team, who bring so much care, kindness and heart to what they do every single day, and to our clients, who trust us to be part of their lives and their journeys.
We are coming home proud, inspired and even more committed to continuing to raise the standard of what genuine care can look like in our industry.

Feeling really grateful for this little team of ours 🤍
After two beautiful days of planning, reflecting, dreaming and looking ahead, I’ve come away feeling so excited about what we’re creating together at Glow.
There is something really special about having women beside you who care deeply about what they do, who want to keep learning and growing, and who genuinely care about every person who walks through our doors.
We have some beautiful things ahead of us.
New ideas. New goals. More learning. More growth. And an even bigger vision for the experience we want to create for our clients and our community.
And through all of the planning, one thing kept coming back to me…
It’s the people who make Glow what it is.
I’m incredibly grateful for these women, for everything they bring to our little space, and for what we’re building together.
Three beautiful faces here for now… although there might just be another one joining us very soon 👀🤍
There is so much to look forward to.
And I have a feeling this next chapter of Glow is going to be a really beautiful one. ✨
Being a skin therapist doesn't make you immune to skin concerns.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that because we work in skin, ours is always flawless.
The truth? Our skin changes too.
Stress, hormones, lifestyle, genetics, and life itself can all show up on our skin. We're constantly assessing, learning, adjusting, and following treatment plans, just like we do with our clients.
This is Grace, one of our therapists, working on her own personalised skin journey. Together, we're focusing on calming breakout concerns around her chin, supporting her skin barrier, and addressing the pigmentation that's starting to appear.
We wanted to share this because we believe healthy skin isn't about perfection. It's about understanding your skin, listening to what it needs, and giving it the right support over time.
At Glow, we don't just teach skin health, we live it every day.
Because we're on the journey too. 🤎

Winning MidCoast Business Awards – Best Personal Services Business (including Health & Wellbeing) for the second year in a row is something we're still struggling to put into words. 🤍
When I walked up to the stage, I hadn't prepared a speech for this category.
Instead, I spoke from the heart.
Afterwards, I realised there were so many people I never had the chance to thank.
Because the truth is, awards like this are never won by one person or one business alone.
They're built on the trust of clients, the dedication of an incredible team, the generosity of mentors, the encouragement of industry friends, the support of sponsors, and a community that chooses to champion local businesses.
