Robert Hartley Hair Design

We are a full service salon and offer services to both men and women, including cuts, colour, perms, chemical straightening, styling, and hair ups. Our passionate and experienced team are up to date with current colour techniques and styling with 14 year’s experience between them. Robert Hartley Hair Design was founded by Cheryl and Robert Hartley back in 1972 in Heidelberg, with a team of 5 stylists. The business ran very successfully for a total of 27 years until 1999. The salon relocated to Macedon Square in 1999 with a team of 5 stylists, and continued there for 9 years until 2008, when Bruce decided to relocate the salon to its current location in Templestowe. Due to very unfortunate circumstances, Bruce made the decision to take a step back, and offered to pass the business down to his most senior stylist, who had been working with him for 7 years. Chloe was very honoured and humbled to have been given the opportunity to continue the business and is very passionate about the clients and friendships that have been made over the years. Our current team consists of 2 senior stylists Chloe and Emily, and a junior stylist, Laura. We are all extremely passionate and creative, and take pride in our work. We use Zenz Therapy, one of the most natural colour ranges on the market today. Zenz Therapy provides quality of life to every user. It is ammonia free, resorcinol free, paraben free and PPD free. We look forward to greeting new clients, as well as continuing our services of excellence to those that have previously visited.
