How often should you be touching up your roots when you have bleach on scalp?? 🤔
Some say every 3-4 weeks, some say 6-8....
I personally think it comes down to the individual and their hair.
On average hair grows about 1-2cm a month, so when it comes to bleach on scalp vou need to have at least this before rebleaching your roots, purely for the fact that if your regrowth is any shorter theres a possibility of overlapping and this can cause breakage.
Now, on the other hand you also dont want to leave it for too long either, letting your roots get any longer then about 3cm can cause banding and the result will be an uneven lift and a patchy looking blonde.
So how often should you be rebleaching your roots. Ideally to keep a clean and healthy blonde I recommend every 4-6 weeks, however if you are naturally light blonde you can stretch your appointments from 8-10 weeks.

Summer is here 🌞 and we all know what that means……… Its beach, pools and fun in the sun time 🙌🏼
So heres a few tips you’re gonna want to follow this summer to help keep those luscious lock’s healthy and fresh, especially if you’re a blonde 👱🏼♀️
👉🏼 if you’re in a chlorinated pool or in salt water, try to avoid getting your hair completely wet. Tie your hair in a top bun or braid and pin it.
👉🏼 if your hair does manage to get completely soaked make sure to wash it as soon as you can. Leaving chlorine or salt water in the hair for more than a couple of hours will servilely dry it out.
👉🏼 make sure to shampoo at least twice with a cleansing shampoo, especially if you’re blonde! Cleansing shampoos are designed to remove any impurities or hard water from the hair.
👉🏼 use a hydrating mask or treatment, comb through and leave for 10-15min.
👉🏼 do no comb or brush your hair straight after swimming. Your hair is in a dry and brittle state so brushing or combing it straight after swimming can actually cause your hair to snap.

Did you know wearing your ponytail in the same place everyday can cause breakage? 😳
Yep, you read that right!! Wearing a ponytail in the same place everyday will create to much stress on the hair and this will cause tension breakage, especially if you are doing a tight, high ponytail.
Best thing to do is let your hair be free and natural 💁🏼♀️ ……But if thats not your cup of tea…. Use a scrunchy or braid it instead, trust me your hair will love you for it 😌

Everything you need to know about extensions 💁🏼♀️
Extensions are an investment so they are going to require proper care to keep them looking fresh and maintain the quality, so heres what to know;
✨ use high quality, professional shampoos and conditioners. That $10 shampoo from the supermarket is not going to maintain your $600 hair extensions 😜
✨ use a deep conditioning treatment once a week to help keep your extensions hydrated and smooth but be careful not to get this on the bonds as it may cause them to slip out.
✨ heat protection is a must!! Using hot tools with out proper protection will dry out your extensions and they will become knotty and starting snapping.
✨ brush them with a proper extension brush, always start from the bottom and work your way up.
✨ never go to sleep with wet extensions! Always make sure you completely dry the extensions before bed, this will stop them from tangling. Another tip is to always braid them before sleeping.
✨ make sure you have regular maintenance, I normally request every 4-6 weeks depending on hair grow. This is a must do to keep your own natural hair in good health!

3 mistakes you’re making with purple shampoo 💜💜
💜 You’re not cleansing first;
You should always cleanse before using a purple shampoo to remove any product build up or impurities. I would use a colour safe cleansing shampoo or a general daily shampoo to clean first and then purple shampoo after.
💜You’re not blonde enough;
Purple shampoos are designed to eliminate yellow tones in the hair, so if you hair has more of an orange or brassy tone, purple shampoo is not going to work for you. Instead i would recommend using a blue shampoo, this will help with more deeper or caramel blondes.
💜It will not make your blonde brighter;
Purple shampoo are a “Toning” product so they will not make you blonder or brighter, they in fact will “Tone” down your blonde, making it cooler/ashier but this will make your blonde appear deeper.
