☀️ Meet Sunny 🐾

Some of you may have already spotted her on my Instagram stories… so it’s time for the official introduction

Sunny has joined our little girl house, and while she is absolutely adorable, she is also a 5 month old puppy

Which means we’re currently working on things like..
🐾 No jumping up at people
🐾 No puppy biting/nipping
🐾 Four paws on the floor
🐾 Settling while I’m working
🐾 Learning that not everyone wants to play with her
🐾 And, of course… the occasional puppy whinge when she doesn’t get her way

Because my salon is in my home, I’d love my clients to help me teach her that being around people means being calm, respectful and gentle.

🐶 A little Sunny training guide for clients
If she jumps up: please don’t give her attention until all four paws are back on the floor. I know it’s tempting to pat her, but even a little bit of attention can teach her that jumping works!

If she nips or bites: calmly stop interacting with her and redirect her to a toy. No rough play with hands, we’re teaching her that hands are for pats, not chew toys.

If she’s being a bit too excited: you’re absolutely welcome to ignore her until she settles. Calm behaviour = pats and attention.

If you don’t like dogs or would simply prefer not to interact with her: PLEASE tell me! 🤍 You will never offend me.
I can pop her outside/in her safe area so you can enjoy your appointment without a puppy in your space.

And lastly… there may be some whining. 🥹
She’s still learning how to settle, be independent and understand that sometimes Mum is busy working. I’m working on this with her, so please bear with us while she learns.

And if you have a friendly, vaccinated dog who loves a puppy playdate, I’m also very open to helping this little girl get some good socialisation. 🐶🤍

A little payment update
From October, I’ll be preferring bank transfer/PayID or cash for payments.
As a small business, I’ll be starting to incur EFTPOS fees, and rather than passing those extra costs on to you through increased prices.

EFTPOS will absolutely still be available if needed. If you’re able to pay by bank transfer/PayID or cash, it would be so greatly appreciated and helps me keep my prices the same. 🤍
