I don’t normally share too much of my personal life on our work page, but so many of my clients have become like family over the years, and I wanted to be open with you all about what I’m navigating at the moment. 🤍

The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for my family. We recently said goodbye to a very close family member 2 weeks ago, and this week my Dad has also become very unwell and required emergency surgery. He is currently in ICU, and right now my family needs to take things day by day and unfortunately it’s not looking good.

Because of this, over the next couple of weeks my time in the salon may be a little hit and miss. There may be times where I need to take a day off or make changes to appointments at short notice so that I can be with my family when I need to be.

For now, I’m more than happy to keep all existing appointments exactly as they are, and I’ll always do my very best to give you as much notice as possible if anything needs to change.

However, if you have an appointment coming up for a wedding, formal, event, holiday or anything else where your hair appointment is particularly time-sensitive, please send me a message directly. I can help organise an appointment that we can feel a little more confident about guaranteeing for you, rather than risking a last-minute change.

The salon will still be open and our beautiful team will still be here — this is simply a little heads-up that my own availability may need to change from time to time.

A little bit of hair history with this one. This was a new client we had in, she was previously blonde, but joined the dark side for a quick minute. Thankfully only colour her hair dark twice, before deciding it wasn’t for her. She had some highlights scattered through to lighten it with her hairdresser last time, but this appointment wanted to go as light as possibly without impacting the integrity of her hair.

Because she didn’t actually have a lot of brown or on those ends, I knew it was going to be easy to lift that out of the ends to get back to the blonde that was underneath. This is why hair history is so important! I was able to go in with a very gentle lightener which achieved our result without damaging the hair 👏🏼

And looking at this now - blonde really is her colour 😍
