Today I had a client cancel 5 minutes before her appointment… 😳

The worst part?

The client was me. 🤡

Apparently the salon owner decided that everyone else’s appointments were more important than her own. Rude, honestly. 😂

It did make me laugh… but it also reminded me why we’ve recently introduced a Cancellation Policy.

Here’s the thing…

When someone cancels at the last minute (or doesn’t show at all), that appointment usually sits empty. Another client misses out, our therapists lose valuable treatment time, and as a small business, we can’t just magically replace those appointments.

Now don’t get me wrong—we’re humans before we’re business owners. We absolutely understand that life throws curveballs. Kids get sick. Cars break down. Emergencies happen. We will always approach those situations with kindness and understanding.

But “I forgot,” “I overslept,” or “something better came up”… they’re a little harder to understand. 😅

So, while I might be guilty of standing myself up today (I promise I’ll be having a serious chat with management 🤭), we’re kindly asking everyone to respect our appointment times just as we respect yours.

Because behind every treatment room is a small business, a team who genuinely loves what they do, and bills that unfortunately don’t disappear when appointments do.
