The cool-girl makeup trend is back. ✨

Cool-toned makeup first rose to fame in the '90s and early 2000s, with soft taupes, rosy mauves and cool neutrals becoming the signature look of supermodels and runway icons. Fast forward to now and today's take is softer, more refined and incredibly wearable. No more worrying about looking washed out or frosty like the trends of the past! (Though we aren't mad about a good frosty shimmer all across the eyes 😉)

Natural light VS Artificial light - which is best??

As you can see by the pictures there is not a huge amount of difference in the two, but there are a couple. The Lip, cheeks and bronzer are slightly deeper and more defined in the 2nd pic (artificial light) and you can see more dimension in the hair. Whereas in the 1st pic (natural light) everything is soft and diffused and almost seems to glow more.

Naturally we love both - but something to remember when showing your inspo pic to your makeup artist and wondering why the finished result looks slightly different! It may not be the artist - it could just be the light 💡
