I see so many women in my clinic space describe their c-section scar as ‘ick’. They can’t quite articulate exactly how it feels, but something just doesn’t feel right. The thought of touching it or even looking at it, feels ‘off’.

Perhaps it’s because a c-section scar is layered with so many factors - the physical trauma of surgery, the emotional layer of a birth that didn’t go to plan, accepting the new you in a body that feels foreign.

It’s so common for women to feel unsure, disconnected, or even uncomfortable with their C-section scar. I see women with pulling or tightness in their belly, some feel numbness or tingling, and for others, it’s more about the emotional weight of what that little line represents.

A scar isn’t just skin deep, it involves layers of tissue, and fascia, it can create lymphatic blockages, and sometimes adhesions that can affect how your body moves and feels. That’s why you might notice changes in posture, digestion, or even back and hip pain after a caesarean birth.

In our C-section Scar Release Massage you will be gently guided to make friends with your belly again with kindness and compassion. So today a beautiful friend of mine passed away. I know some of you know Bec ,some of you may have seen her on your TV screens,Facebook or on just about every place you look in town as the ambassador for The Regional Cancer Centre .Some of you have bought her beautiful gifts in the salon that she made with her girls or you may have chatted with her while she was in the Salon,she loved to have a gd chat to everyone. She's touched so many people's lives in different ways and made such a big difference to how people will now be treated with their cancer journey in the future. She was an absolute legend,who raised a phenomenal amount of money to help others while fighting her own battle. She was always giving to everyone ,right up to the end. The world is a better place for Bec having made her mark on it in our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with her whole family today . ❤️

A Letter to my Clients ❤️( long post)

Dear Clients, after much thought and consideration and 10 years working in a Salon for myself ,I have made the decision to scale things bk . I have decided it is time for me to handover the Salon to someone who can bring the same light and energy to the space that I hope I have for the last few years. I will continue on with my long-term ,loyal clients ,family and friends and I will be looking forward to more time with my family and friends with weekends off!'haven't had that since I was 15 years old! 😍 I will be handing the Salon over on the 1st of April to the beautiful and very skilled and qualified Shandyce Wolff . Shandyce has been in Toowoomba forever and is more than excited to take the reigns and look after you. I promise you,you are in gd hands. 🙏❤️ Shandyce will be in the Salon from the 17th of March and will officially take over from the 1st April. Please continue to support this Salon as it is your local support that has made this business what it is. If you would like to make an appointment with Shandyce the landline in the Salon will remain the same so no changes there.
